aiwan's top supermodel Chiling Lin will be one of the top attractions of John Woo'd upcoming $80-million historic war epic Red Cliff. The role of Xiao Qiao marks her acting debut. The Red Cliff trailer was released first in Taiwan because it stars Taiwan-born Chang Chen as well as Chiling Lin.
Currently in post-production, the film will be released as two separate movies in east Asia. A shorter version will be released as a single film elsewhere. The epic is set in 208 AD when the mighty Han Empire was falling under assault from various warlords. The namesake battle takes place when a powerful northern warlord leads his troops south, forcing two rivals to create an alliance to defend their domains.

Chiling Lin began her career in 1999. It wasn't until 2005 that she began earning hundreds of thousands as a model/spokeswoman for China Airlines and other corporate sponsors. She is considered by many to be Taiwan's top beauty. Few would dispute that her legs are the prettiest on the island.
After high school at Taipei Municipal Zhongzheng Junior High School, Lin attended the Bishop Strachan School for her senior year of high school. She majored in Art History and Economics at the University of Toronto before returning to Taiwan to resume her modeling career with the Catwalk Agency.
