et for late-March release is Daniel Lee's Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon. A joint venture between Lee and Korean backers, the film stars Andy Lau as Zhao Ziling, an elderly warrior who must face Cao Ying, the granddaughter of a warlord he defeated sixty years earlier. The deadly woman warrior is played by the delicious Maggie Q, one of several actresses caught up in the Edison Chen sex video scandal.
Part of the buzz surrounding the film is the rumor that Maggie Q was excluded from the film's promotional tour of Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and China due to her exhorbitant demands for 5-star hotels and 24/7 bodyguards.

The other standout is Chinese American Andy On who plays Deng Zhi. At the age of 23 On abandoned a Rhode Island bartending job to take a shot at Hong Kong stardom. With no martial arts background he landed the lead role in Black Mask 2: City of Masks (2002), a low-budget actioner. On recovered from that debacle to win a best-new-actor nomination for Star Runner. His first decent movie, however, was New Police Story (2004) starrring Jackie Chan. Since then On has had a slew of forgettable roles before landing Three Kingdoms.
