he city of Kyoto, Japan's ancient capital, together with the University of Kyoto has developed a single-seat electrical car made mostly of bamboo. The "ecologically-friendly "BamGoo" concept car weighs only 60 kilograms (about 135 pounds) thanks to local bamboo-ware technology. BamGoo gets 50 kilometers (30 miles) on a charge.
