"Best Asian cities:
1.Vancouver BC
2.San Francisco
3.Toronto
4.Monterray Park
5.Markham Ontario
6.Richmond BC
7.Richmond Hill Ont.
8.Honolulu
9.Seattle
10.you can decide!!!!!"
This is a good list, but you mixed in tiny suburban areas with huge metro areas. People who live in Richmond, BC would consider themselves part of Vancouver. Monterey Park, and the entire SGV, is part of LA. And San Francisco... do you mean just the city of SF or the entire Bay Area?

"I am sure that SF has a lot too, but not as concentrated"
The actual city of SF is almost 40% Asian, with the vast majority of those being Chinese. The Sunset and Richmond district is predominantly Chinese, hovering at close to the 60% mark.
The metro area as a whole is less concentrated, but there are pockets in suburban areas such as Fremont and Cupertino that are high percentage Chinese.

Actually, I think Toronto has a higher population for Asian however the place is so much bigger than Vancouver. I live in Vancouver and everywhere, and I mean everywhere...there are Chinese people. Years ago, it was the HKers, then followed by the Taiwaners, not they are all from China. And I am sure this has a lot to do with WTO. Right now, the standard of English is even worst unfortunately and it will take time for them all to blend in, it so. I am sure that SF has a lot too, but not as concentrated. And where or anyone here that can suggest me where to get most update Asian Canadian news and development like this site. I run a cross-cultural marketing communications agency and perhaps the only one around here. Like to meet up a few people with similar interest. Check out www.keyimarketing.com

To, Mike Chang;
"To be honest, Toronto doesn't really have that many HKers. They are concentrated in spots like Scarborough/Richmond Hill.
I think theres only like 330,000 chinese residents in The Greater Toronto Area whose population is about 3,000,000. So, around 200,000 may be from HK, and the rest from mainland China."
Not that many HKers? If what your saing is true, then there is 200,000 HKers out of 330,000 asians. But you probably added another zero by accident.
Vancouver is the best; low crime rate compared to cities in USA, high acceptance of asians (if you don't succeed in canada, your just not skillful enough), and high number of asians.
I don't know, but to me, vancouver is the best place so far.

San Diego is okay. But San Francisco is awesome. Houston is fabulous too. Aren't we supposed to be united? I guess not. Well anyway, Houston is absolutely better than San Diego. But San Francisco is equal to Houston. TEXAS AND CALIFORNIA ARE BOTH GREAT!!! ALABAMA SUCKS!!! Actually, it depends if you are near the FOB side or 5 generation side.

Worldlyman
You have been on this site week after week bashing San Diego, as well as the rest of California. The worst thing is that you keep on saying the same thing over and over! "Houston...diversity....nightlife....blah blah." Gets kinda boring....
I give Houston props, but hands down California is the place to be.
Everything in Texas might be "big", but California is just "better."
(There's 35 million Californians that will agree with me on this.)
Texas weather....'nuff said.
So Worldlyman, have you heard of the saying....
"If you don't have anything nice to say....then LEAVE....!"
just my thoughts

I live in Toronto, and if you go cruise around the metro area, you rarely see any asians or blacks, mostly whites. Except, or course, in certain spots like the Chinatowns. But even there, most of the people are Vietnamese. or from mainland China.

Probably SF bay area has the most HK people.
** Does anyone know which of these ** three metro areas has more HK
** people? SF bay area, Vancouver, ** or Toronto??
