Anyone here with recommendations for schools which offer a good MBA/JD joint degree program?

Hands down. Harvard Law School for sure! One L by Scott Turow says it all.

What about USC, Boston University, and William and Mary?

Some of you are saying Virignia, Georgetown, and Villanova over Boalt?!?! I don't even know where Villanova is! What are you guys smoking? Well, I go to UCLA, mainly cuz I didn't get into Boalt or NYU, but frankly, if you're asian, I don't know why you wouldn't want to be in Cali. I've met asian people from the east coast, and they're usually pretty...whitewashed...but if you're into that, what can I say...and wanting to work at a NY law firm, please dude, no thanks. Being a lawyer is tough enough, why cross that line into masochism?

Georgetown? The school is highly overrated (even as its ranking continues to fall). The curriculum is unbalanced; the faculty, mediocre. If you must go to school in DC, consider one of the other law schools.

The University of Michigan law school is clearly the most prestigious law school in the country

UC Hastings has a fair amount of AAs also, and it is very underranked in US News although it considered among the top 20 law schools according to faculty and law practitioners

Definitely "Buh-Ku-Lee" and "Ha Baad"

Uh, I can't believe that they don't have the UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO as a choice.

Really depends on criteria used, but for prestige, it's gotta be Yeh-lu. Pepperdine is probably the best law school for everyone, hands-down, for sheer, breathtaking scenery.

Went to Boalt, got a solid JD with enough prestige to get into big law firms, am professionally reasonably successful (VP Legal Affairs at tech co.), very low debt burden (big plus for Boalt), no great love for the mindf---ing many people associate with the practice of law.

Still trying to figure out what to do when I grow up.

Geez, legal profession must be slow with all these posts...

Honestly, there is no law school with more prestige than Yale. Its in a league of its own. Also, Berkeley is the best public university, and also in a league of its own among public schools.

Harvard no doubt. The 'key' to any top 50 law firm in the US. I think education is the same all over, its just what you take out of it. No professor can teach you that. Unfortunately, employers see the big marketing perspective. And Asians have to show more muster than other ethnic groups. Notice that a large percentage of Asians in big firms are from the top 10 schools in comparison to other ethnic groups. (not considering international firms w/foreign branches).

while harvard is an unstoppable force in nearly all fields (with the exception of engineering), i think NYU and columbia do deserve more respect. for one thing, all the name partners of wachtell, lipton, rosen, & katz are from NYU..as are several of the big partners at skadden arps. the big 2, as i'm sure any of you in law school would know about.
