Kevin to Shy Girl on Approaching Co-Worker
his one's a toughy since its extremely difficult to ask someone who is shy to be assertive. I say start off with something small, say an internet gift or something which you don't have to deliver yourself. Or you can simply leave a little something in his office before he arrives for work. This point is to let him know without being completely obvious since doing that requires some degree of assertive communication. In your case, due to your shyness, I think it's best you let him approach you after you've lent him a subtle message. Perhaps a little gift at his doorstep when he returns from work would be a nice gesture too. The thing is to make him approach you and I believe this is probably the best way to do it. About getting flustered when he comes by, I'd say just constantly tell yourself to say calm or simply reduce the number of actions you are currently preforming when he's around. But definitely let him know... there's NOTHING worse than a lost opportunity.
Sincerely,
Kevin Yang
