IS THE AA GENDER DIVIDE REAL?

sian American women are abandoning AA men by the millions. Young AA women seek out any race of men but their own. Women like Amy Tan write books and make movies that dump on AA men and glorify Asian women in relationships with white men.
That's the perception of many AA men.
On what do they blame this state of affairs? Brainwashing by media that play up white men while cutting Asian men off at the knees. Desire for payback by AA women who feel slighted by their families and Asian society. Large numbers of non-Asian men with blind fetishes for Asian women. Some even acknowledge that Asian men are often too fixed in their ideas of how a woman should look and behave, causing many AF to feel devalued.
Other Asian Americans see AF outmarriage rates as merely a natural state of affairs for a 4% minority population that includes many recent immigrants. The outmarriage gender gap will narrow as growing Asian population centers provide ready access to bigger pools of singles. Besides outmarriage isn't the same as rejecting one's racial identity, they argue. Many AF who outmarry retain strong identification with their Asian identity.
Is there really an Asian American gender divide? Is so, what's behind it? If not, what's behind the perception?

By the way, I believe "Life Is Sweet" is the same famous Asian guy who's been posting photos of all the (close to a hundred different) beautiful White/Latin women he's having sex with on his fairly new website to encourage other Asian guys to get into interracial sex/relationships. He also runs a Yahoo club that is just devoted to that purpose. "Life Is Sweet" was also his screen name on Yahoo. "Life Is Sweet" is not a common screen name so I'm pretty sure it's him. If that's the case, then he's definitely not a fraud.
As Life-Is-Sweet once said to other Asian men: "Don't get mad. Get even!" That is now my motto.

The guy is RICH, famous, a director, an actor, and a musician, He can get EVERY kind of women he wants with any one of those qualities (not every women, but every KIND of women--white, asian, hispanic, black, beautiful, not-so-beautiful, blonde, redhead, brunette--EVERY KIND. If you can think of a kind of woman, he can get her.)

Woody Allen's mail order bride isn't exactly a beauty queen. I'm more amazed he was able to get a white one. Actually, I'm more amazed he isn't in jail (he was probably eyeing her way before).
Sorry to say it, but Asian women (our generation) are too weak minded for my tastes. If they don't respect themselves, I'm sure as heck not going to.
It is disappointing to find the asian pride that women like my mother have didn't get passed on somehow.

I can never hate an Asian woman because my mother is one as well as my sister. I love them to death. In the Chinese culture, we have a saying: "the man is the head of the home, but the woman is the heart of it." It is like yin and yang. You cannot have one without the other.
But, sometimes, the actions of those Asian women who sell or whore themselves out to any white man is just disgusting. So much that sometimes, I question if our people have any pride left? It is like a cold or flu. It is getting to epidemic proportions.
Look no further than the relationship between Woody Allen and his former adopted daughter (from Korea). They are now living as a couple. I am sure if the girl was white, Woody Allen would be very much vilified by now in the public. But, because she is Asian,they expect to see such demeaning behavior from Asian women. There is this well known stereotype that Asian women would go for any whiteman, even if he is old enough to be her grandfather.
It is hard for any young Asian man to see actions like this and have no problems with it. Any man would be pissed. Not because it is Woody Allen and one girl, but there are many Asian girls who do similar things, who marry old white (old enough to be their grandfathers) only because he is a white man. I have seen such kind of couples on the UCLA campus. And, chances are they are not even FOB Asian girls, but the girls who grew up and was born here in the USA.
Asian men have been hurt a long time. To be pi.ssed at them dating other races women is double standard. Don't make me laugh. Asian men are not weak-minded.

the gender divide isn't that bad among the younger age groups, like early 20's and dating among teens at least here in San Fran. A lot of Asian women only date Asian. They exist you know =)

Hey guys, did you see the Asian American Gender Divide on the Bachelor's Show (ABC) yesterday, where a couple of Asian women walked out of the show because they knew they were going to be snubbed just because of the color of their skin? The Bachelor (Aaron) although perhaps racist or in the grips of a racist family do serve their purpose.

Usually marriage between Korean, Japanese women to American GI is very samll. There are probably more relationships than marriage but still overall the numbers of people getting married international is not big. In the past Korean women would of married an American GI to come to America. Nowadays in Asia it is usually the south east asian women that wants to marry out of there country. The reason that I hear why some of these asian women marry Amercian GI is that some of them fall in love.
You have to look at it from the GI perspective. When a GI goes over sea he is away from his family and friends. He will get lonely station overseas. Most of these GI are young single men. They will look for a girl friend in the local area.
I think if you put 30,000 single Korean soldiers that
is station here in the states for over a year. Some of these guys will find a local girl friend too. But, overall the number of relationship international is small. If anything it is the American Asian that have the high inter-racial marriage rate.

Yea, Asian guys in those countries with US military personnel are financially better off than the white and black servicemen. I have to believe that many of the Asian women who marry American military guys want to come to America, be US citizens and see a new land.
I'm sure there are great things to see in Asian countries/cities. I visited Europe and Latin American countries, but not Asia.
Coming to America is a dream to many non-Europeans and non-Canadians. Canadians know about the US and Europeans realize, historically, who left their countries centuries ago either by force or by choice, therefore, have no real interest in spending a prolonged period to time here.
However, Asians coming to America presents a chance to express themselves more freely and participate in democratic processes and social venues that may not be available in their native land.
I have to believe that a lot of the Asian women want a new life here and marrying a US serviceman provides that chance.

I believe the warbrides see the U.S. as a country filled with more opportunities and freedom. Much more so than in their own countries.
Women here have more leverage than in the Asian countries you mentioned.
Also, as women...they are thinking ahead and view living in America as having a better environment for raising their children.
Yes, there are women that see and think only of $$.
But there are many more so that view other more valuable aspects as being more significant.

Personally, I find white women more attractive than Asian women because they are mature (rather than being childish in personality and looks the way Asian girls are) and have great personalities--funny, open-minded, warm, and caring. They also know how to treat an Asian man they like with true respect and make him feel like a real man, despite the prevailing view of AM's in this society.

I am sick of all AF getting bashed...they're self-hating, sellouts, willing to hook up with any white guy, even if he is a loser. We're not all like that. Please don't generalize. Of course there are some who are like that, but then again, I see some AM who could be described that way too. They are "whitewashed", only hanging out with white people and would never give non WF the time of day. They worship the whole blond, blue eyed, big breasted thing and wouldn't be caught dead at an asian restaurant, or at least the kind that doesn't obviously cater to white people.
