AA MEN SEEK OUT NON-ASIAN WOMEN
(Updated )

sian women are only interested in non-Asian men and don't give Asian men the time of day. That's the reason cited by many AA men for dating and marrying non-Asians. A minority of AA men say they simply find non-Asian women more physically attractive or more appealing in terms of personality, values and interests. Whatever the reasons, the rates at which young Asian men are dating and marrying non-Asian women are quickly approaching the rates at which Asian women are outdating and outmarrying (about 38%). Some Asian women are complaining that they aren't getting a fair shake because Asian men have been brainwashed by media standards of desirability.
What are the real reasons for so many Asian men seeking out non-Asian women? How do Asian women really feel about this trend? Who benefits most from it? Will the trend continue? We want to hear your views.
VAM- why do you equate dating a white person with "selling out"? I think that's a sad way to look at things. It's just a viewpoint full of hate.

The AW sell-out first so what is wrong with us doing the same to pay back. I know it sound stupid and eventually there will be racial mixing but AW fall too easily for non-Asians.

Currently I am seeing 6 Mexican, Chicana women. I also have a thing for Near Eastern women and I am also in telephone correspondence with 3 of them. All are strikingly beautiful women.

I admit it, that I go for specific looks in women. I don't hate Asian women. It's just a preference that I have. My idea of beauty are these types of women.

I had tried dating Asian sisters in the past, but the feelings weren't there and never clicked.

I am not sure if the ones I am going out with will lead me any success to eventual marriage and family, but at least this is the only way I feel happy.

We live life once and should never settle for what we consider to be less. Go for your heart and what you really want.

What's the big deal AM looking for non-asians females? Personally, I think that's great. It's not as uncommon as most think at all. Personally, I know at least half a dozen AM friends had met and married WF. And their wives and kids are awesome. Men are generally more visual when it comes to mates; may be it's time to admit we find non-asian females just as attractive as asian females, guys.

Okay now the purpose of this particular forum is to discuss the issue of Asian American Males seeking Non-Asian Women. So what I want to know is why isn't there a forum for Asian American Women seeking Non-Asian Men. Because for as long as I can remember Asian women dating non-asian men have been somewhat accepted as the norm, but now that Asian men are too starting to date non-asian women all of a sudden it's a big issue that needs addressing. It seems to me that (my personal opinion to the side) hypocrisy is at work here.
They too have the right to seek love where they may find it. One should not limit themselves to just dating someone within their one race (not saying that they shouldn't either) but they should be free to choose whomever that will make them happy whether they be asian or not.
I have given this issue to much of my time because it's obvious that no matter what my views are, as I have been told time and time again I am not Asian. I am an African-American woman who happens to believe in racial divinty.
I wish there were more people out there like me, but unfortunately they aren't as fortunate as I am to have been able to see the light. To experience all that I have and still be positive and to love blindly as I have.
I'm just hoping that with all the name calling and racial issues aside that people will one day learn that we have to love ourselves first, embrace other cultures second and love the human race in it's totality.
1 Love 4 1 Race and that is THE HUMAN RACE!
I will not be addressing this issue no longer.....I've spoken my peace.....

ISO WFs,

Jesus. Where do you live? In California, I see nothing BUT AF/AM couples. And I think its fucking awesome. Even in NY where I study/work, there are more AF/AM couples that anything else. More power to them. I have dated non-Asian women b4, but I cannot hate on Asian couples or Asian women who have dated non-Asians. Don't be such a sourpuss hata.

Soul Searching.....finally someone agrees with me. People tell me all the time that I am wrong for saying that preferences of dating a specific race is not hidden racism......but one would have to be delusional or in denial to think that it's not.....thanks for backing me SS, and I hope ISO will be able to deal with his issues and learn to deal with the issues that he is having with not loving and respecting the Asian American woman....Peace!

ISO WFs: you have a lot of hatred inside you dude. Don't over-generalize "all Asian women" this and that. I don't know where you live but here there are Asian-Asian couples everywhere I look. My Asian female friends just *LOOOVE* Asian guys and are sad that guys like you sell us out. And Russell's Sweet Delight said it best: that your "preference" is hidden racism. It is.
