WF Falling in Love with AM
y name is Amber and I am a WF
I find it strange to refer to myself as a
"WF"
I am new to this website and have read so
many sterotypes about AMs,WFs,BWs,BMs,HF,HMs, ect ect
Including why some prefer one race over another. To say someone prefers one race over another are only sterotypes they choose to be true, as all people are individuals. I have dated men of several races and I have learned there are good and bad men in all! I am devoted to an Asian man, specificly Filipino. I have found him to be loving, caring,devoted,smart, funny as hell,sexy and beautiful,honest, simply a good man and truely into me for me. Joel and I have been friends now for over two years. Then one night it happened,a spark that has ignited a fire. A fire nothing or no one will be able to put out. We have talked bout race mostly my concerns that his family and friends accept me. He said I shouldnt worry because his mother has a white boyfriend.
He did say that most of his Filipino friends (mostly the ones that live in the Philipines) assume white people are stuck up. I know that this too is only a sterotype and doesnt bother me because they will get to know me for me and not the color of my skin. I have to admit I am intrigued by Joel because he is Asian. I find him to be very exotic and truely beautiful (I dont think you must be female to be beautiful), but when it comes down to it we are not a WF and an AM in a relationship we are two people who are head over heels in love with eachother. I embrace all of him the parts that are different from me and the same. I actually find we are more alike than different which attracts me even more than the fact he is an AM. By choosing to date or not date someone because of their race you are truely doing yourself a disservice! I say love someone for who they are not because of the color of their skin and what you think that represents.

Cool Story, but I think you may have answered any of the questions or concerns you may have of why people date with race in mind. You said you find Joel 'exotic'. Well, I think that's what alot of people on this site think in their situations. Yes, unlike many others you don't have a 'preference'. But you do understand the interest for something different. Personally, I don't like the word 'exotic'. Not by what it says about the object of affection but about the subject who feels the affection. It may say something about one's ignorance/lack of experience with a particular culture or something. And I'm sure that's not how you mean to portray yourself as. Cool Story though! Sorry, it's late, and I feel the need to 'read' into things. :)
