The answer seems obvious to everyone. Unfortunately, everyone has a different one.

Wealthy Japan with the world's second biggest economy, big-ticket consumer products and cutting-edge technologies?

Massive China which is on track to eclipse both Japan and the U.S. in the coming half century in GDP terms?

Corea which sits at the nerve center of Asian superpower competition?

The Philippines which offers the key to getting a handle on Muslim terrorism in Asia?

India with its huge population and growth potential?

Personally,I do not consider India to be an Asian nation, but,India is the only Oriental nation w/the potential to 'check' China's -virtually-inevitable rise to global mega-power and 'supremacy'.(Supremacy as opposed to hegemony as in the case of the United States.)Japan cannot check China's rise......nor-in my opinion-should it want to. In fact I feel, that,no Asian nation should strive&/or desire to check China's rise-including India. Why?Because,China's rise to power will serve to facilitate -first-the liberation of Asia from the yoke of white supremacy and then-gradually-the entire world!!! biggrin.gif

america cant ally itself with china. america needs enemies. they thrive on the creation of enemies. without enemies, real or imagined, america will die.
