Just recently saw a movie entitled "The Matador," starring Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear. In it, Brosnan is a globe-trotting assassin, and when commenting on a job he did in Manila, Philippines, he makes the comment, "The Philippines! Oh I love it! The hot climate, the guys look like chicks! The food!"

I took note because I also remember that in the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" the one with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, after the scene where they nearly kill each other, and Pitt is talking with his buddy Vince Vaughn, Pitt relates that the assassin who nearly killed him looked "kinda small", to which Vince Vaughn makes the comment, "Maybe he was Filipino!"

WTF? Does a certain writer have a personal beef against Filipino men? Was his girlfriend stolen away by a Filipino guy? Just wondering and inviting comment.
