ong Kong City Mall is the biggest Asian indoor mall in the southeastern U.S. With two dozen restaurants and cafes and several dozen more shops and offices, it has the feel of a small, air-conditioned city. The nouvelle Asian architecture, colorful gardens, fountains filled with lily pads, spacious parking lot and impressive size all contribute to an ambience that not only makes it a centerpiece of Houston's Asian American community but a real draw for non-Asians looking for a cultural experience along the Asian sprawl of Bellaire Boulevard.

     Young visitors are drawn to Hong Kong-City Mall's half dozen boba cafes, pho restaurants and other inexpensive eateries, not to mention a number of shops selling clothes, videos and music. Families can take care of their weekly Asian grocery shopping, window shop for jewelry and enjoy a meal out at the gargantuan Ocean Palace or one of the dozen other restaurants.
