GS: So after two years you're thinking about moving to the other side of the camera?
LL: I really try and make a diligent effort to live my life day to day and not look too far into the future. However, having said that, I always like to have a couple of irons in the fire.

GS: Would that coincide with having a relationship and a family?
LL: If anyone will have me.

GS: So in the next three to five years you see a desk job, family, kids...?
LL: I definitely want to have at least one kid. But I also am determined to adopt at least one kid.

GS: Where would you want to adopt a kid from?
LL: There's so many kids that need to be saved. It really doesn't matter. In all likelihood a child from Asia but I don't discriminate when it comes to children that need to be saved.

GS: Is there anyone whose career you particularly admire?
LL: Oprah.

GS: Is that the direction you might like to go?
LL: What I love about Oprah is that she uses her talent for good. There's so few people in this business who do that and I just have so much admiration for her.

GS: You've revealed an aspect of yourself that no one suspects.
LL: It's hard because when I was working on The View I could only allow one side of me to emerge, and it was really difficult. I take everything I do very very seriously. Sometimes to my disservice because I care a little too much. And one of the reasons why when I found out you guys wanted to do an interview I told Alanna, “I have to talk to these guys&rdquo is because the overwhelming majority of letters and emails I get are from Asians. Sometimes I think, “Why am I doing this just to get myself criticized?” On the other hand, the overwhelming majority is very supportive.

GS: Goldsea has had a profile of you for a very long time...
LL: Oh my god, I was sixteen years old in it, I was eighteen.

GS: ...and to this day it's one of the most popular features.
LL: Can you change that picture? I was like nineteen. Have you seen the funny one with Yao Ming? It is hysterical.

GS: How tall are you?
LL: I'm 5-6. He's 7-6.
I took him out a couple of times. He never ever ever goes out. I forced him. “Yao Ming, you cannot continue hiding. You must go out. Let's go out!” I took him out and it was unbelievable. I took him to a little trendy cafe in LA. I've been out with like Britney Spears and no one has gotten the attention Yao Ming got. As soon as we walked in, the entire restaurant simultaneously ceased all conversation. And they all at the same time looked up. And they started breaking out, “Yo, Yao! Yo Yao!” It was so unbelievable.
     He's so lovely.
I just want to say, I have always always been attracted to Asian men. In a perfect world I will marry and have a billion babies with an Asian man but Asian men have never asked me out.
I had to ask Rick out. That's my thing. If there's any Asian man in general I've wanted to go out with, I ask him out.

GS: Yes, some Asian American women have complained about that...
LL: I wish that they knew that that is part of the reason. I want to say to them, “Step up to the plate!”
Instead of realizing that that might be an issue, it's like, “Oh, she only dates white guys.” There's this sort of closet underground criticism that happens. Take a second to review why this may be!

GS: We have a couple of articles about that...
LL: Please alert as many men as possible. I'm so happy because I went out with a great Corean guy the other day who actually called me!
