I have never dated a Caucasian male. The guys I dated were either Asian, Hispanic, or African-American. I'd rather date someone who understands my position in society as a minority, and truthfully thats something that most caucasians can't relate to.

Indian Female:
Its so sad to hear that these things are still going on. Its unfathomable that a woman cannot marry the one she loves. Many times it doesn't have to matter whether one is openminded or not, like in forced marriages, there are consequences so doing what they like is not an option.

As for "still silly," their arguments are quite strong. However, since we do live in a white culture, we can not escape the fact that we create the minority and that is where racism is geared towards. Its a double standard like still silly said.

I feel lucky enough that my family doesn't care who I date because I have only dated whites. I was telling how I have a white boyfriend. "Sellout" was the response I received. Why should a girl only be able to date within their own race? If attraction is what pulls one towards another, than the color of skin doesn't matter.

Question on Indian women,

Do most Indian women *like* arranged marriages, or want to have an arranged marriage or not?

Also, do some of these women dream of marrying men not of their race? (A.K.A. do they fantasize about that?)

I had an Indian schoolmate and she was saying that her older sister didn't want to have an arranged marriage/get married so she decided to pursue her masters' degree to gain some time. But of course, she ended having to marry an Indian guy in her country anyway. (She lives in the U.S. They got the Indian guy from India) Although my schoolmate said her older sister is "happy" to be married now.

I remembered a looooooong time ago in the Philippines, we also had arranged marriages.
