Trying to get my butt back into school. Also a poetess with severe writers block. Well, thats who I am right now. Subject due to change.
Peace,
Moks

I was talking to a BF the other day and she said that all men are dogs and that we always think that the grass is greener on the other side. I said females think the same way.
Here's a switch, I'm not the "typical AM." I'm an Asian jock, high school and college football player, built like Junior Seau and a mind of a scholar. I've perused some of the comments here and the impression that is left on me is that a lot of BF think AM are wimps, and live too much on the straight and narrow. I get stepped to by BF and more than happy to oblige. I'll do my part to bridge the abyss between BF and AM, for real. Most of my friends are other races and any Asian friends are on the periphery. I'm a freak too. BF just turn me on.
Here's my dilemma. I've known a certain BF for about 4 years now and I have always been crazy about her, but for "timing reasons" we never ascended to the romantic level. I feel that I have fallen into the friend level. She means a lot to me but she is seeing another AM. I even met the lucky bastard. Then they broke up and I made my move, but she was not responsive, she was still sprung on him. I don't want to be homies, I want to be knowmies, I know her and she knows-me. Is it possible to leave the friend zone? If not, any BF in So Cal wanna chill with a fly AM?

Lilbit-
Very good points. The fashion and beauty industry is now moving farther away from the "flat butt" and the "even flatter hair" standards of beauty that were so prevalent during the 90's. Now a more natural look is cherished from nubian locks to soft curls and waves. Even the beautiful vanillas, mochas, toffees, and coffees of the Black female complexion are being revered.
Also, it would be possible for an Asian man to say that he has never seen an attractive Black woman. It really is a matter of preference. In my life I have found it extremely difficult to be physically and sexually attracted to Caucasian males. It really depends on who you talk to. (too? to?)
As for Kwanzaa...I might as well be celebrating Chanukkah, it's certainly older, has more spiritual meaning and, to me at least, makes a lot more sense than some holiday made up for the soul purpose of pacifying people.
