Dude, what the hell are YOU talking about? Goth makeup doesn't make a goth......and most "ethnic" goth-types (black, asian & hispanic) don't wear white painted faces? That's mostly white girls. Where do YOU live?
Sorry you had a case of the uglies and didn't check your girl before the clothes came off. That sucks. You need to come over here to northern California where the goth girls wear vinyl,rubber and fishnet......you CAN see body fat thru that. Oh, don't you worry, the sister I saw WAS fine, as I only date fine sisters.

Your story is sad, I hate hearing about racist asian families. First generation families (of any race) seem to have problems with interracial dating and it pisses me off. It shows a lack of education. The greatest thing my parents ever told me was that I could date and marry anyone of any race I choose. It made me proud to live in such a liberal family. It's probably due to the fact that my parents are fourth generation Americans. Good luck to you.

If she didn't beat out India due to being light skinned, Mr. Clive Davis must have paid somebody off. I have both CDs & Alicia's is being used as a room divider by my hampster!

I have never seen any "fat" Black goths. Most look like they came out of an ad for "Feed the Children" & they DON'T wear loose clothing at all (unless it's winter, then you'd need a coat). As for ugly, many Black goths [male & female that I've seen] don't wear a lot of make up (I only use powder & lip gloss, myself). Kinda hard to look like a pale corpse when you blend in with the night, ne? My do you dislike goths! But why? We don't bite (unless you ask nicely).

LOL! You're cute! But seriously, I'm a goth and I think I look good and so do a lot of other people. Also, I think it is kind of rash for you to say that ALL goths are do this or that. I wear all black because I feel good in it. Black repels negative energy, embodies all colors, and attracks heat and love. (It's a Pagan thing, if you want I can go into more detail)

I totally agree with you from what I have seen. Black Women can still be proud of our people but we can give other races of men a try who find us to be appealing.

I can't speak for everyone else but from my personal experience, most Black Men (not all, most) don't stand up for us like most Black Women stand up for them, and it's pretty sad. But I guess that is the way it is these days, but it's great to see AM & BW hooking up. It doesn't hurt to date other races, to be honest, it's wonderful!

Come on sisters, the poll was starting to cool off from all of the negative postings from before and now it's starting again.

As I mentioned before, I don't think that Alicia Keys winning all of those Grammys had to do with her skin color because 2 years ago Lauryn Hill was the big winner taking home 5 Grammys as did Alicia Keys. I just felt that India. Arie should have walked away with a few, she deserved to, that's all.

The bottom line, no matter what shade of black that you are whether it be Light, Brown, or Dark, we are all Beautiful Black Women. We need to be proud of who and what we are and of each other.

So let's all try to understand each other and be proud of the color God made us to be, he didn't make any mistakes on us sisters!
