heh, heh.
jin told me the subject here has gotten kinna gothy so i've decided to come out of the shadows for a second to chuckle....
so, racer x, i know who the girl is you saw at the show. her name is jinx. the scene here is small and we all pretty much know each other. it had to have been her.
to this hellafineaswine, we don't wear cake makeup. having been a goth for 15 years, i've never seen any goths that are black, wear gobs of makeup. as you will find, this is a subculture of people that outsiders will never be able to label or predict. there is a whole contigent of goths that include: kindergoths,old-skool ,gother-than-thou types, poseurs, glittergoths, gravers, cybergoths, weekenders (closet goths), industrialstrength.....
so, yea, guess i'm sorry you had a bad time with a gothgirl. can't say too much about that. musta been some faery glamour. or maybe a bit of drow elf fabulousness.

:to my clan, asiophile 81 & NNY, why DO people dislike us? because they fear us. we are like them yet, we are not. btw, a friend out here is building a database and website for "other" goths so, if you'd like info, i can give you her email address.

JHTM you told me you were a female goddess worshipper. So you're saying you're a goth to? So goths and worshipping female goddesses are the same thing? Some people told me that goths worship devils and put spells on people. Thats just what I heard. I really don't know. Please don't tell me you worship the devil though. Oh yeah, did you have problems with your mother and family when you became a goddess worshipper?

Why are you people hating on Alicia Keys. She is very beautiful and her braids are cute. She is very intelligent. She also sings songs with messages. She's not one of them whores singing about bulls**t. She is a lady and she keeps her clothes on. Now it is true that the media prefers light skinned women but don't go hating on her because she's like skinned. She can't help it. She didn't tell the NAACP and the Grammy judges to nominate her. They did on their on.

I am glad that people are finally accepting a new way of seeing relationships. I am a black female in my 30's dating an Asian male. Yes, there is a culture difference but we have decided to accept the challenge. This wonderful man has asked me to be his wife, I said "yes".

YOU'RE A GOTH TOO? *glomp* EEEE! It's so hard to find Black female goths in DC. Generally most Black goths here are male. I would love to be able to talk to someone about the scene, the music, the culture and of course where I can find a nice mesh dress that won't cost me an arm and a leg. (Hot Topic is an anal bitch from Hades. >.< )

I have not heard of those bands at all! GYAH! I'm falling behind! I love L'arc En Ciel, Malice Mizer , Gackt (of course) X-Japan, Dir En Grey, Lucifer (Tai you sexy bishounen you!), Shazna, Da Pump, and many others.

I seriously suggest you snag a byte of Hikaru Utada.

There used to be an excellent site around for J-pop/rock called The Japanese Channel, here's the URL and I hope it still works:

You could check out Yoo Seung Jun, Hong Kyung Min, and Aida. I listen to mostly boybands. GOD! I'm turning into the boy-band lovers I once so detested.

My boyfriend goes all Nancy (Poor Sid...he never saw her coming)on me because I have posters and *cough* Pillows *cough* of some of them but hey, a girl can always daydream.
