How Koool, the goths have surfaced ;~D
Anybody know any links to Black Goth sites? We are such a rare breed it is difficult to find any writing on us.
Also a calling out: I'm an Ohio Goth, are their any other sisters on here from O-land?

My ex-boyfriend Mio from Burma(chinese ancestry)contacted me 3 days ago.I was really shocked. I didn't expect to ever hear from him again!
We talked about why we actually broke up. I was finally able to tell him what really happened. He was devastated, when he realized what some of his close friends, and his "father figure" had done. He had moved away, and started his life over...he was tired of them controlling his life. He and I began to really talk about things, and we realized...how so much we have missed each other...and have never stopped loving each other...
He told me he doesn't want to ever lose me again...and I feel the same way...
My feelings are...it goes way beyond his being an asian man, and my being a black woman...its all way beyond that...
we truly love each other...
and nothing else really matters...

What's wrong with shopping at Hot Topic? I think it's good store. Although I'm not goth, they have a nice selection of band shirt and other girl clothes. The only problem I have with the store are the pants. With the exception of Dickies, many of the pants there are made for girls with little to no bums or curves. And to the person who mentioned. KMFDM/MDFMK are alright. I have a friend whos a huge fan.

I REALLY, REALLY find Asian men sexy!!! I really dig you! However, I DO NOT want to give the wrong impression. I'm not a "ho!" I'm not a hoochie. We women (Afro-American and everyone else) are just as human as you men are and it would be a PLEASURE for me to meet a NICE, attractive (to me) Asian guy to make love to on a consistent basis without a relationship---just a friendship with sex. (I'm not looking to get serious with anyone right now---Asian or otherwise.)

I am so impressed that there are black goths out there. I am half goth and hippie. I wear a lot of black, but occassionally will wear hippie colors and birkenstocks. I love the music; it ranges to joy division, new order, alice in chains to the doors, def leppard, iggy pop, madonna and so on...
I am so attracted to guys that are goth. They are yummy!!! Trent Renzor, for example.
India did get cheated, but you won't read any magazine that will state that. Alicia is so-so, but not Grammy material. It's a shame.

Akiinu:
The Gothic subculture takes heart before image. You can tell the poseurs just by that alone. Just talk to one ^_^! You don't necessarily have to wear black or listen to Bella Morte 24/7. Being a Goth is (this is gonna be difficult so stick with me, here) having the ability to walk through a tragic event & seeing the beauty of it. Walking through the "darkenss of night" without having to "feel" your way through. As JTHM said, there is a deep spritual aspect of Gothdom. This is why many Goths can go to a funeral with an ear-to-ear grin. Death ends all suffering, right? Or as people will say, "They (the deceased loved one) are in a better place now". A Goth will cry for a minute & be at peace for an hour in this situation. It can also go the opposite way. Some of us might MIGHT go to a Wedding & think, "It won't last & that's how it's meant to be" or "All things some to an end". Think: Dark logic rather than being depressed, if you will. It makes the blows of life more bearable by looking at the tragedy of everything. Also, some of us love the Victorian era (because of it's beauty, but I like Asian & African stuff too) & things that are mysterious. Well, not so much "mysterious", more like things that make you want to continously search for "more". Scratching the surface, thinking outside of the box, & digging for the untapped. Religion & the neverending quest for God for example. Well, I tried my best to explain it in a nutshell. This is not Goth law. It's my own personal view of it. Much like a conversation on spirituality. No one has a definate explanation, but it's like looking at the same thing through differnt glasses on. Oy, I'm drained now!

I think I discovered my 'gothiness' at the age of ten. I was shopping with my mother and found the most beautiful black dress. (Velvet and Satin I think)It was in the Victorian style and my mother, think that this was SO adorable got me what she called 'witchy poo boots' from the same store. After that, all I wanted to do was dress in that fashion and I did. I didn't find out that how I dressed was considered 'Goth' untill middle school when I met up with other kids who were into the same thing.
The one aspect of the Goth scene that annoys me is the 'holier than thou' goths and the racist ones. (Generally they are one in the same.) I'm sure you've heard the old goth/raver argument. *rolls eyes*
Anyways, lately, I have been shopping at Black Rose and Enigma Fashions (Both U.K bound and both horrid when it comes to shipping) But I have never tried Ross. Thanks so much Kitty! Without that little tidbit I might have been monetarily screwed.
P.S
It may seem really cruddy but I have found some KICK ASS stuff at the Salvation Army. I found this awesome wedding dress and dyed it black. Only cost me $25 total in the end.
Akaiinu:
There are many kinds of Goths and not all of them are into the Vampiric scene. I love Vampires myself ( I know one guy who swears to the goddess Macha herself that he is one) but some think that people who believe in it are just losers with too much time on their hands.
Being Goth in my mind is not about just the clothes. Too me, it involves an attitude, a willingness to not give a flying f*ck, a lot of style and flare, and a grand amount of intelligence. I hate meeting stupid Goths who can't even tell you why they're goth and when you give a reason they tell you that it's 'cliche'.
Those are MY specifications. I don't think there's official Goth list yet.
LOL! I atleast hope not anyway.
Phrase of the day:
By Lloth he's done it! Great! Now we don't have to kill him! ~~

asiophile can you read? I said that I heard goths worship the devil and put spells on people. I said I didn't know if it was true or not. Theres nothing wrong with worshipping God as a female So why are you sitting up here telling me whats wrong with worshipping God as a female. In my opinion I think it it stupid to believe God is a man and to balieve God is a woman. There is a balance in the universe male and female energy. Somebody was hating on Alicia Keys and they know who they are.

Check out www.geocities.com/Wellesley/2779/
They have link to online stores. Hey, I have no shame in going to Hot Topic. A friend of mine found some groovy tights there once. They were "flesh colored" (not our flesh wink wink *_*)& had Indian gods & godesses on them. At Spencers Gifts, she found a coffin coin purse! I go to Spencers becaue they have cool statues that I can afford.
