I don't think you are a ho at all. I find that women who call other women 'hos' just because they are sexually liberated and want what they want without caring about what society thinks are mainly jealous of the freedom that such women have. They wish they could not care how the right-wingers feel and in the end they die, rotting despairing corpses lost in the sea of Christendom and repression. Go for what you want girl! You deserve it!

I love Goth men too! I've seen some yummy goth boys in DC, around the Adams Morgan area and Dupont Circle. It's nice to meet more BFG's in the world. Maybe now we can add a little more to the scene and culture than a pale face and a victim's mentality.

Such wonderful words you have spoken and even moreso they are some of my truths. I attend funerals mainly to say goodbye until the next life when we meet again. I think we as black female goths are some of the most open minded people in the world. Who are we to discriminate when we have three strikes against us to begin with?
Or maybe I'm just biased. ^_~

i am sorry that you all live in places where apparel is minimal. you guys need to make a trip to the northern cal.
there are way too many stores here that cater to us and therefore we all remain broke for periods of time. (like now, i'm broke for the next two months because of a pair of $200 new rocks. damn best boots ever.)the trick is to spend most of your cash in thrift stores, vintage shops, and places like ross.....then you can afford to blow your cash(at the appropriate time) on that beautiful vinyl, rubber, lace or velvet outfit, you know the one that you absolutely MUST have.
Jthm: yea, the gother-than-thou. i grew up with them they suck. but i can't really give a damn about them. most of the ones i've run into have been younger than me and i let them know that. before we were goths we were all mods and the kindergoths don't realize that. so they can kiss my ass. as for the gravers(goth-ravers, there's a slew here(all in the closet) and they have they're our graves (raves) and all that.

to the person wondering what's wrong with shopping at hot topic????? i didn't say it was wrong for everybody else to shop at hot topic, go ahead. i did caution the darker ones here about shopping there. the clothes are CHEAPLY made. basically the clothes are crap. for goths, that is.

I wish Lydia the troll would stop posting. This is someone clearly trying to give BW a bad name; probably a low-self esteemed AW; or a disgruntled BM; or a Racist and Geeky AM... who knows.

Wow, it sounds like you finally got the phone call you've been waiting for. I hope there's a way that you and your guy can work it all out, because the kinda love you got going is a beautiful thing. It's so amazing when one soul interlaces with another.
But it sounds like this guy's been through a lot, and he was running with some people who hurt you, whether he knew about it or not. Be sure take care of yourself first and foremost. Listen to your instincts. And best wishes for your reunion.

Wow, I think I might be a closet Goth -- only I didn't realize it!
Here's the evidence:
*80% of the clothes in my closet are black (although I did live in New York for 6 years...)
*For the last 4 Halloweens I've either been a Vampire, a fallen angel, or a red and black lace devil -- and most of the costumes are just my regular wardrobe with one or two accessories.
*I've had a Hot Topic frequent buyer card for years, and the last present I bought for my 2 year old nephew came from there. (I bought him a black knit hat with cat ears -- Baby Goth!)
*I purchased my green-eyed jet-black maine coon kitty in a mall four years ago, after asking the sales girl at the Hot Topic for advice (she felt that the cat and I were fated to be together).
*I've been to over 30 funerals in the past 25 years (I come from a large extended family). When my friends lose someone close they always call me for that "Death is not the end" poem and when someone in my family dies, I always end up writing the eulogy.
Hmmmm.... or maybe I'm just a melancholy mallrat who shops too much...
