Does religion make more of a difference than race in choosing a partner? I ask this because many people (Jews that I know, especially) want their children to keep their religion. It was the same with my mom & dad. She was Baptist & He was Catholic so my mom changed to being Catholic & that's how we were raised! So, do you guys think that it's more religion than race?

I am a black female, who just moved out here to San Diego. I am interested in meeting asian men. Does anyone know where I would go about meeting them?
I am not too familiar with the area around here, and I don't really know any people either. If you have any suggetions, please let me know.

I did not realize that Japanese men are open to interracial relationships. I always believed that they are comfortable dating within their race. This is a surprise to me. What city/state are Japanese men open to interracial dating? I am from California and even though I travel to San Francisco, I feel like they are very against interracial realtionships, unless it is a Caucasian person. I may be wrong.

I understand what you are going through. I would not be intimidated by the questions. I get them all the time. It is more of a curiosity, which seems irritating because of their ignorance and misunderstandings. You will come across these questions, but it looks like they are interested in you. You may want to pose the same question to them and get to know each other.

Positive note: Vietnamese are attracted to Black females. Some are shier than others. I speak from experience. Don't be discouraged. If you come across a guy you like, go for it girlfriend. You never know what you are missing.
