ABT,
it's just your area dude. I' m from new england too and I get by. But I live in a pretty culturally diverse mini city. When i meet girls from small towns they warm up to me. My advice is to meet girls from friends, then at least you have a definite opportunity to get to know them yourself. And if worst comes to worst, screw it man. Don't put up with being condescended on but don't acquire negative assumptions either.

Hey all you asian guys who are complaining about not being able to get a WF.

Fact #1: There ARE WF who really like asian guys

Fact #2: There are 50-100 times more WFs that WON'T date asian guys or are simply not attracted to asian guys. Get used to it.

Fact #3: Even if you find a WF who really likes asian guys, now you have to find one that likes YOU.

Fact#4: The better looking the WF the lower your odds are.

Fact #5: The better looking you are, the more successful, charming etc. the better your chances are.

So if you really want to date/sleep with a WF you simply have to work a lot harder at it or lower your standards.

Strangely enough my experience is that most of the WF I have dated are very attractive. Perhaps only the really attractive ones have the confidence to go out with an asian guy and to hell with what everyone else says or thinks.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Maybe the reason why women from the Mediterranean and the Near East are more receptive of Asians is because the Chinese/East Asian as a group have Mediterranean/Near Eastern features/genes. Some Chinese suffer from the Mediterranean Anemia. Well, I guess it's more than that.

If you listen to Chinese, even Korean and Japanese music, they bear some resemblance to Arabic, Greek, Turkic or Persian music.

Btw, there is a difference between the Eastern and Western Mediterranean cultures. The Western Mediterranean is more "Anglosized", countries like Spain and Italy, these people are less receptive of Asians or non White People but more receptive than Anglos or Germans. French people are intermediate. Eastern Mediterranean region(such as Greece, Turkey)was always this crossroad of East and West, more diversity/intermingling, and definately more wealthier and more powerful than the West throughout the ages.

I have met people who were part Spanish/Chinese, Italian/Chinese and Greek/Chinese living in Spain, Italy and Greece, respectively. The Asian and Mediterranean features blend nicely, not as strong as the Asian/Northern European mix.

Experiences on Northeast women? I just returned to NYC after 10 years in Canada. Canadian women are a lot more open-minded and friendly to dating AM, so it was with some trepidation that I returned. Metro women are tougher than your Tampa Bay girl, but women are women! Our receptionist is a 22-yr old Pamela Lee Anderson look-alike who I ignored because she was just too good-looking. Plus, all the richer guys in the office were drooling all over her. Well, she not only tried to make initial contact once, but 3 times. Smiles at the new guy, says "hi". We finally had an excuse to talk after several weeks, and the second thing she said to me was "I really like your look! The neat and well-dressed look does it for me." I give her a lot of credit for sticking her neck out like that, even if she is too young for me. But girls have girlfriends........ Moral of the story: you never know where you'll meet great women. They are everywhere.....
Don't mean to sound condescending, but a lot of you posting are young, and lack some maturity and calmness. I had a hard time dating in my 20's, but the 30's are a different story. Life experience, a sense of humor and maybe some decent clothes go A LONG WAY. Think Sean Connery or George Clooney...

the grass is always greener on the other side!

as a full-fledged florida gator, i don't think the situation is any better in the sunshine state. it's about the same everywhere, shallow but absolutely true. you'd think college is where people get to learn about people who are different from themselves, but all i see are still the same type of high school cliques magnified ten times. in fact, every once in awhile we still get klan rallies in the nearby counties. above orlando it's still "the south." maybe south florida is better, but that's like part of cuba from what i heard.

maybe it's just me, but heck i'm still dateless after the whole four years of college. it's probably all in the mind, bro.

To Steve: Your flimsy ego gets hurt when a white girl turns you down and then starts kissing up to a black man or a hispanic man. So to make yourself feel better you lie to yourself that you are better looking. Maybe it isn't your great looks j/k but your personality that were a turn off.

I had a girl from CT hit on me before. I don't believe that New England states are unfriendly to Asians. One of my best friend was from Cape Cod, MASS and the people there were very open minded, even to Asians.

About the WWF thing - forget about it! I've seen a wrestling match between Tajiri and some other white dude, and after the white dude beat the total crap out of Tajiri, he even beat up Tajiri's blonde girlfriend while Tajiri was rolling on the ring in agony. That probably sent a message that Asian guys can't protect their girls. I got pissed off. F*** WWF.
