Hi everyone, I am new here. I lived in europe all my life, I was born there. I met some asian men there, not too many. I dated some west african men,and gypsies and one asian man. I always had more attraction to the asian men. They are an attractive looking man. I am open to dating them. I date mostly frenchmen, but I would date an asia man in a heartbeat. They are beautiful,and they take care of their body. I like that very much. I don't see too many of them here in Qebec. I wonder why is that?

They sure were!, but her parents weren't supportive.. her mom's didn't like me much, i dont know if it was because i was AZN, or because i look like a trouble maker to her.. but either way, i felt bad vibes from her family.. and her POP's used the term "oriental" instead of "asian" which i take offense to... so im guessing... her family dosn't have too many asian friends...

Just said it was interesting and thought people might like to know about it (this being an asian male/white female poll and 74% of asian males saying they didn't think white females would find them attractive). Race is an issue only because people choose to make it an issue...all those IR couples who do their thing for the wrong reasons is just masking something that is a deep rooted insecurity i suspect. I approach women that i'm attracted to whether they're green, purple, blue whatever...it doesn't matter to me..if it does then you're probably insecure...i've dated all types and i can't truly say i prefer one or the other...it's just what i was interested at the time..presently i'm dating a beautiful open-minded asian gal not because I'm down with the the asain thing, it's because that's who i was attracted to and approached at the time...so far it's working great and i intend to keep it going but going out with white females exclusive or white males (for the asian women) exclusively is kinda sad cuz there's so much to learn from each other even within our own culture..it's too bad that race has to be a reason to date someone...one last thing..advice to asian men...if you like a girl whether asian, black, white or spanish or whatever just go up and say hi and go from there...you'd be surprised what can happen next...and if the asian women doesn't like you just because you're asian, then move on you're better off without this headache...i've said too much already this topic has given me headaches already...

Hooked up with 2 beautiful girls last weekend. 1 white and 1 half black, half white. Both told me that when they first noticed me walking into the bars (met them separately, at different bars on different nights), they thought that I was very attractive; however, they didn't think that I would be interested in them. Both were quite pleasantly surprised that I approached them. They thought that all Asian guys ever wanted to date were Asian girls and that we don't think women of other races are attractive. Anyway, this is not the first time that I've been told this. This kind of misunderstanding does present a problem for an Asian guy when it comes to meeting girls at bars and nightclubs. Say, if a non Asian girl finds a certain Asian guy to be attractive, due to the fact that she doesn't think he finds her attractive in return, she will not give him the signals to approach her. In conclusion, in a bar, nightclubs environment, an Asian guy needs to be much more aggressive than his non Asian counterparts. He has to take a chance and approach the female that he is interested in without waiting for her to give him any positive signals that she is interested in him. What I often do is to walk right up to the lovely girl, smile, introduce myself, pay her a sincere compliment and walk away. If she is interested in me, she will come to me, eventually. I hope this little suggestion helps. Yes, it is tough being an Asian male, but, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Just to add to FHM, I was watching one of those MTV teen body shows (just flipping channels, really), and the "best body" couple was a young AM and a young blonde WF.

Isn't it sad that MTV is more progressive than CNN when it comes to AM's?

I noticed what you were talking about too. I agree. Many AF (even the very unattractive ones) give off that "I'm too good for you" vibe when they see me, whereas many WF are at least friendly, some more than others.

That attitude makes many AFs pretty unattractive to me.

Just an interesting trivia fact:

Way back when (1500's? Not sure of the date), an Italian merchant adopted ("purchased" in some versions of the story) a Korean orphan boy in Nagasaki and brought him to Italy. The merchant named the boy "Antonio" and gave him the surname "Corea" (wouldn't you folks at Goldsea be happy) and raised him.
Antonio eventually married an Italian woman.

I didn't tell this very poetically, but basically, Italians with the surname "Corea" can actually trace the ancestry to a Korean man.

So the whole idea of some Asian-Italian link isn't that off-the-wall.

CF, I agree with you that, in addition to individual attraction, there is a psychological need to date white girls with some Asian guys, particularly the more assimilated ones like me.

I really appreciate the honesty in your post, even though it isn't easy to write something that comes straight from the heart, or that is the truth, whether or not other people want to hear it, it's not an easy thing to do. I urge everyone to be brave! It's anonymous anyway. :) Hey if dating a WF makes you feel more racially equal than that's fine, I would just hope that you would choose to date a WF for other reasons, like looks, compatibility, personality, etc.
As for my boyfriend and I, if we ever did decide to have kids I think they'd be quite nice looking (in my humble opinion ;) and I don't think either one of us is hung up on any racial purity thing. It's 2002, racial purity just sounds so old and dead to me. This new century will be one of mixed colors and races.

I'd have to say the things I like in Asian men (and my b/f in particular) are politeness, friendliness, good sense of humor, like to do other fun things than just get drunk at a party, intelligence, and a quiet grace that still exudes strong masculinity.

Are you a dude or a gal? Just curious. I lived in Italy for a while, and some Italian women were into me, some weren't. I exercise a lot, so they seemed to be into my lean sculted physique. My face is also above average. Please elaborate on your theory about Asians and Italians, I'm curious to know. I am considering on spending some more time in Italy in the future.
