WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
My little cousin Nora came to stay with us over the weekend. She is such a little tramp! She tried to walk around in her little skimpy daisy duke short shorts and tank tops, to try to get my man to look at her boney teen butt. I was so glad when we took her to the airport this morning. She was being a total brat! Her parents wanted her to stay with us longer. She is too disrespectful and doesn't want to follow house rules. Its too much responsibility! Having her around taught me a good lesson. I still don't think I'm ready to be a mom yet! EEEK!!!!! I was actually excited about getting back to work today! LOL!

I used to date a Mexicana. Damn, she was a muneca. She never knew that I understood and spoke Spanish. She took me home to meet mom and dad. They asked her a question about me in Spanish and I did the answering myself in Spanish. They were all shocked. Later, she asked me if I understood all those conversations that she and her friends had, I said yeah and she got embarrassed. >=X I guess you can say I speak "Spanglish"
So to all the AMs out there, go learn Spanish, its not too hard, and hide that you know it from the HFs. Ahaha.

In reference to Peace: I actually saved up from my job as a systems analyst for a year after I graduated. I'm not materialistic and I value experience more than STUFF, sooo I don't have a car, I don't go out to restaurants a lot (I do throw dinner parties for friends though. I like that much more), and I don't buy stuff... unless it's for my bicycles. Sooooo... I saved up a ton, and I quit! And then me and my bicycle headed to South America. That's how I got to bike through there for 10 months. I'm very happy I did it too! but I'm back now, and, but not for long! Just 2 more months before I head back to Bolivia. As for what's next, well, to hell with computer work. I'm much more of a people person, so at the moment I'm looking to combine my new spanish skills with biotech. Or I could start an NGO in Bolivia and Brazil.
In reference to Max: Spanish helps. Seriously. I did not know a single word of spanish till I got there. I then took 2 weeks of classes in Cuzco, Peru, another 2 weeks in Bolivia, and then my girlfriend got me very fluent, very fast. Very few people speak english. As for a place for a good time with unforgettable experiences? I'd say Cuzco, Peru tops my list for that, as in a single place with everything. Course, I mean that as an outdoors thing... mountaineering, technical mountain biking, incredible white water rafting, and tons of incredible, eye popping, unbelievable, unreal ruins laying about... and not just discoteques and bars. There's also an enormous amount of distinctive culture, much of which is undiluted, as well as music, etc. And if you really want excitement, well, hey, the Shining path maoist guerillas are back. I was just 3 miles from them in the Apurimac Valley... which probably explains those strange firework sounds I heard. It's the same in Bolivia (without the guerillas!!), but more spread out. Still, Bolivia is my favorite country of them all, especially since I met my girlfriend there.

For all of you who don't believe it. Today I was around the Alhambra area and counted 2 AM/LF couples within 2 hours. Prior to that, there was one fiiiiiiiiine Hispanic chick with a half-breed Asian boy (her kid) in the Target store in Alhambra. She was gorgeous and model type material. Everyone was looking at her, probably because she was holding the hand of a half-Asian boy. Then, after that, when I was leaving, there was this Asian man driving up the curb into the store with his Hispanic wife and 3 kids in the back of the car. Last, I drove down to the Ranch 99 Market in Atlantic Blvd. As I went in, out stepped this Chinese man with his Latina wife and half-breed son. This boy, however, looks more Latino than Asian.
Let me say that the ones who doubt AM and LF couples do not exist are dead WRONG!!!
They probably are just as much, if not more as BM/LF couples (at least in L.A.).
just walk around and see for yourself

hey yea yea whatever.
Yes it is so that many people assume. Before I met my husband, I used to know a white missionary man who frequently visited a family nearby. I remember he would say things like,"You (Engines) sure are somethin else [When he would say you 'Engines' he meant indians but it sounded more like 'Engines'] and it sounded crude, like we were all automobile engines or something. I know he probably meant no harm by it, he seemed like sort of a nice person. But the funny thing is? He would always call all mexicans and whoever else that had black hair and black eyes "Engines" Isn't that wild? Engines.
Reminds me of a kid song,"Engine engine number nine" LOL
