WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
AC,
I think you and me are the only 2 individuals with the
"NY State of Mind". Nothing is wrong with this but many Asians from various parts of the country just don't get what we are trying to say.
The Guido Asian, the Kosher Asian and the Stuyvesant HS Asian are all uniquely NY. Go to other parts of the US and the only unique Asians you find are the sellout types.
California is a diverse place, but they see the world as black or white just like the folks of the Mid West and the South.
After many decades of multiculturalism in the Golden State, you would assume intense racism would quiet down in that area. In fact, it has been quite the contrary. All of the races out there still have nothing good to say to each other.
As one poster from the NY board was saying, the West Coast should be called the A-Hole West.
On the issue of Koreans hating the Chinese.....
Koreans should remember that one NYC Taiwanese politician by the name of John Liu spoke good of the NYC's Korean community during the time when they were portrayed as "dog eating bastards" by Warner Bros., a media company which is run by "Hollywood Jews". The news reporter who produced the segment was also Jewish so go figure....
Now let us turn the tables for a bit..Do you think a Korean community leader would do the same if White people portrayed Chinese in the same manner???????
I THINK NOT! You probably see Margaret Cho and other KA celebrities mocking fun of the Chinese on TV!!!

To T. H. Lien,
I agree. The five million ethnic Koreans living in China are not discriminated against because of their ethnicity. Generally speaking, the Chinese are a very tolerant people, and racism is not a serious problem in that nation of 55 different ethnic groups. The real problem lies with Koreans and Korean-Americans who are racists. Under the Park regime, South Koreans were programmed to hate all things Chinese, revising their history and removing Chinese characters from their high school curriculum. They created the myth of the Altaic Super Race (for which we now know to be false as Korean DNA is proven to be closest to Chinese DNA.) The Korean racist mentality is a worldwide problem now that they regard all Blacks, Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc. as subhumans.
The areas bordering the DMZ is the most militarized zone in the world with 1.7 million men armed to the teeth. Should the Koreas reunify, China would have a military problem at its doorstep. Thus, China is doing itself and the world a tremendous favor in ensuring that Korean rage is channeled against their own people in the form of a divided Korea. Nonetheless, in spite of Korean people’s hatred of all things Chinese, the Chinese government has been able to have good and effective diplomatic relationship with both North and South Korea, while deriving both economic and political benefits out of it. Similarly, our challenge as Chinese-Americans is to find a way to contain Korean-American rage at us. Is there anyone with any good idea? And even if there is none, I predict within another ten years, the Korean-American community will no longer be relevant, fading into obscurity as it assimilates into the masses, its bark only faintly heard on Goldsea.

I recently looked up this particular forum{usually I am on either the martial arts or Asian man/Latina forum} and I have to say their is a lot of hate and pointless slagging from all sides. What benefit or good is their in slagging Chinese or Koreans?
To non-asians overtly {or covertly} they view both groups as slant eyed asexual losers{even if you have a top
degree with $$ or you are a "bad ass
mother****er gang banger.
All I want to say is ...cut the crap. Each asian brother should be an example to the next generation.
How about this ....when asians globally displace North European dominance Than we can continue the "China vs Korea" bull s**t. not before . " United we stand divided we
fall." peace to all .

About this whole Chinese Take-Out stereotype. For some reason this links with it a negative image for alotta Chinese I've been around. IS this necessarily a bad thing? What's the difference between a Chinese Take-Out and Colonel Sanders? Or Panda Express and McDonalds? Nothing, there all food businesses making money. CHinese TO's and Chinese food in general are popular with the mainstream American society anyways so what really is the beef? Most Chinese TO owners I know don't just own one (Or if they do, they plan on running more). A big number of them own up to 5 or 6 restarants (like Mr. Chang a local restaraunt entrepreneur here), some even 15-20 which is probably about the same amount of pay a doctor receives and judging by the amount of Chinese restaraunts in America or society as a whole, I'm sure there are thousands of more success stories. That's the whole business of business, expansion and growth. Oh well, I guess I'm just rambling because I ran into a racist white kid today making fun of TO's.

Fact is about Indians. They have a 10% poverty rate in America. Most successful Indians are those first generation Indian immigrants from India. American born Indians have lower income levels. Why? because only the brightest .1% of Indians can come to america thus leaving the 99.9 % billion in India poor and without basically anything except nuclear bombs and software to run them. Thus their wasteland conditions. Brain Drain!
Indians in america-very rich
Indians in India -very poor.
NO MIDDLE CLASS.
"the only poor indians are the ones in india'? Hello that's like most indians.
