WHAT YOU SAY

Hold on for a minute,

I see all my Asian brothers (Chinese, Japanese, Coreans, Vietnamese, Filipinos, Indians) here comparing themselves to whites: Jews, Italians, Spaniards, Germans, Anglo-Saxons, etc.
It is so demeaning and humiliating to see and read this.

I couldn't agree with you more. Only person who continues to post such non sense is "LSD" character. Southern Chinese guy with very low self esteem.
I think he calls himself the "kosher" Asian, whatever that means? bwahaha.

AC,

"Unfortunately, NYC is not the mecca of asian culture. So other asian don't really make a pilgramage here. They should just to see the whole USA isn't like white suburbia."

Yep, I sometimes feel that I'm a New Yorker and not an American.

Btw, anyplace outside of the tri state area is the plain ol' USA in my books.

It's unfortunate that AAs in other parts of the country see the world as either black or white. I assume their lives are pretty dull compared to ours. I even know of some AA Californians and Seattlelites who have made NY their place of work and residence. Why? There is more "real" diversity and tolerance in here than in the West Coast.

I can't think of any other American city where assimilation to the mainstream society is not a must or a neccessity. Hell, in NYC, you can be anyone or manyone.

I've read the forums of which you have commented and particpated.

Some of things that these other people say to you are pathetic and dumb.

For example, people complain that Jews have been racist towards Asians in Hollywood. Bunch of BS in my view! Jews pay Asian actors to play those roles. If Asians are so concerned about their image, they should be declining Hollywood altogether.

"Chinese have been helpful towards Jews and not vice versa". "Jews have been ungrateful of our kindness".

Hogwash! Go to the Lower East Side of NYC where the prototype community centers that serviced Blacks, Hispanics and Asians have been established by Jews. They paved a road or stepping stone for other minorties to put their feet on.

With respect to all of the White ethnics that have dealt with the Chinese or the Asians, the Jews have been the most sympathetic towards us. Go to Little Italy and you rarely find an Italian who appreciates the Chinese. Most of the time, they'll mentioned how the Chinese Triads took over their neighborhood. I even witnessed these people calling our waiters as "Charlie Chan" in Chinese restuarants on Mott St.

Jews ate in Chinese restaurants because they were discriminated by the White gentiles, and that Chinese was able to become Kosher, more so than the other cuisines. The Chinese were also outsiders like the Jews, so the Jews felt comfortable with the Chinese.

On the issue of Israel...Ariel Sharon who is deemed as a terrorist and a Palestinian murderer is strangely friendly towards the Chinese. He actually urged the Chinese gov't to pay up the wages it owed to many of its Chinese contract employees working in Israel. Israel has sold many weapons to China without permission which has angered the US gov't.

The most ungrateful people to the Chinese are probably the Japanese and then the Koreans. The Japanese brutally attack our people in WW II after many centuries of cultural borrowing. The Koreans practiced ethnic cleansing of the Chinese in Seoul by imposing heavy taxes on them, ultimately forcing every one of them out of the country.
