WHAT YOU SAY

Batchu Praveen,

I have always been less attracted to East Indian Men. Why? Because most of them treat other's who are non-indians like dirt. It is a sad fact and a truth. You have made it very clear to everyone that you feel that you are superior to everyone who is not from India. I think that is very sad. I have big news for you. You are absolutely NOT superior. It doesn't really have to do with your country's economics, or religions. It also has nothing to do with the color of your skin being light or darker. I think it has to do with the elitism and racist views you have in your caste system etc. I am sorry but I find Korean, Japanese,Chinese, Thai,Vietnamese people and cultures etc more appealing and kindhearted. More open minded and more with open arms. Not everyone, but as a majority..yes.

I knew this one would happen as soon as Batchu said what he said. I understand what he is saying, religion and family values in the indian culture are very strong, yet not so strong that it makes us better than other asians. I don't think any one group of asians is better than another only because you can't make such a general statement. BUT BUT BUT..some of you other posters are also very confused! That special or whatever you saw is not necessarily true to this day, things like that are EXTREMELY rare, and it really only happens to the VERY old-fashioned Indians, or the ones in India, not many though. Whoever brought it up, stressed it a lot, because if you actually believe that happens a lot you need to check yourself!

What does violent crime have to do with the gist of the subject we are discussing? How is that at all relevant to the facts here?

What facts have you supported in any of your arguments?

I am beginning to think there are very many uneductated ideas being brought to fore. Especially from such as 20/20 and others.

Uneducated ideas? Uneducated is your harboring the misconcept that you Indians are the special elite of all Asians and somehow above the rest. That's an uneducated idea not to mention your lack of ability to hold a strong foundation to back that argument up.

The discussion has nothing to do with the fact that we as indian people are separate from the rest for much valid reason.

Hey buddy, elaboration please.

I am not going to address some of the childish statements some have written.

::::COUGH:::COPOUT::::COUGH

So I will only say that religion and family values play very major part of our indian culture, unlike so many.

Religion and family values play an important part in almost every Asian culture. Do you honestly believe Indians are the only ones to hold those two in high regard?

"LOL did anyone see that one special on NBC lately? An Indian girl who got married to a man her family didn't approve of and for that they hired people to kill her..."

I've seen it, they were showing it on CBC - Canadian National Television on a program called "The Fifth Estate". Oh, by the way that family is from Canada - Vancouver, and supposedly the mother and the uncle were already charged in India so if they return there they might be prosecuted and/or sent to jail...(??) I think it also said the Indian police are asking for their extradiction from Canada but at first the RCMP thought that they couldn't do anything. Lately though, they've started working on the case.
And it also said that at first, the family wanted to marry her off to a man who was 60! (she was 19) Wow... Sad.
