It was truly Korea world cup 2002!!!
Korea surpassed all asian countries including the host Japan.
Korea made to final four (Semi-final).
Lets see which Asian countries are ready
to break Korea Semi-final record??????
Will it be China or Japan????? I don't
think so in Germany 2006 World Cup. Lookout for UnitedKorea football team
coached again by Guss Hiddink. To Kickbutt
to final Knockout round.

Wang not playing in the worlds was a drag, he was the heart of that team, China could have won at least 3 more games with him. Stupid Mavs just never gave him much chance to play, he needs a less-average team so he can prove himself. The US has really over-estimated Yao, he's lucky with the height, and sure he is good, but Wang has always been the dominant player in China. I think Wang's status in the NBA is absolutely unfair compared to that of Yao's, Yao is making 4 million, and wang, lucky if he gets a half million. And i've seen Wang play in the NBA several times, he was outstanding but not many ppl gave him the chance, he also has the potential to develop, but ppl dont see that, he lived and played in the shawdows of the Mavs, all he needs is some 20 min per game and plays all 82 games, he'll become a star guranteed. Now he's free agent and no one wants to sign him, but i'm sure the lucky underdog team who signs him will see the other side of Wang.
ps. i've just realized that asians got naturally born good hops, it's just a matter of practice, u'll fly within no time, so work hard on those springs and show them the world.

" At least the Taiwanese won the little league world series before, never heard of Koreans winning it, but, I don't follow little league."
What is Corea?
This is an example of going off tangent. This guys brings up the Taiwanese little leaguers like this is an indictive of Chinese baseball supremcy? Dude, what does this prove? We are talking about pro sports at the highest level NOT no damn kids! Are you so pathetic you had to bring up the little leaguers? Come on! Why not mention some of your players in the majors?
I do agree with you Taiwaneslittle leaguers used to kick ass in Williamsport. And Corean kids also have won it all few times. But we're done discussing kids.

You Chinese really do have a reading problem, don't you?
Without throwing insults and I am trying my best to refrain myself because it seems all the Chinese here go off on a different tangent just to dodge the questions at hand.
I will ask you these simple questions, ok? I hope to get an civilized Chinese to answer it objectively.
1)Are the Chinese better than Coreans in baseball? Are there any Chinese in the majors?
2) Are the Chinese better than Corea in soccer? Has the Chinese national team even scored a goal in the World Cup?
3) Has there ever been an Chinese players in the NFL?
4) Has there ever been any Chinese in the NHL?
5) I have no problem admitting China is better in basketball, Corea lost to China in the finals of the Asian games 8 yrs ago. So I don't think Corea is far off China. But clearly China is NOT a World Power, its not like they lost by few points, they got blown out.
6) Has there ever been been a WOrld Champion boxer from China? Corea over 30 world champs.
7) How many world Champion Judoist? Taeknowdoist or wrestlers from China?
Corea is not world best in most of these events but in Asia, they are.
8) Of course, the Chinese can say they are Asia's best in diving, table tennis, gymnastics and other sports that no one cares about.
China (1.3 billion) 28 GOLD,
Corea ( 50 million) 8 GOLD
Japan (130 million) 4 Gold
Now for the Chinese to claim best in Asia they have to win 26 TIMES more GOLD to equal Corea achievments PER PERSON. So where is your argument???
Per person, pound for pound Coreans win more medal than any Asian nation by far. I didn't say total.

Fastball,
Thanks for the heads up on Hee-Sop Choi. I was surfing for some more info on him and I ran across this interesting article from Street and Smiths titled "Seoul Train" which is about Korean baseball players.
Here are some tidbits in the article:
MLB scouts believe that the Korean players passion and hunger is rivaled only by the Dominicans.
The article also states that scouts are turning their focus from Japan to Korea because "Scouts say Koreans tend to be taller and more muscular than their Japanese counterparts, and in many cases better overall athletes."
The Atlanta Braves int'l director of scouting says "a strong work ethic is something you notice right off about Korean players, but he also points to their discipline and respect for the game."
It also says that if Hee-Sop Choi does well in the majors, scouts will be coming in droves to scout out Korean baseball players. Here's the link to the article.
http://www.streetandsmiths.com/editorial/baseball_2002/seoul_train.html
Choi definitely helps break down stereotypes of Asian baseball players being only finesse slap-hitting players. Choi is described as a masher and was one of the top minor league hitters. Good luck to him.

yao ming is a lousy first pick. he can't even grab more than 5 rebounds against 6-7 guys. only pathetic one-sided fans would be blind to see that china and MING JUST SUCKS. china is nothing but hype. the chinese can talk and talk, but that's it. there was no delivery. every hype conversation is thrown back at thier pathetic faces. the win-loss records don't lie. china basketball got their asses kicked in almost every game. they even got their asses handed to them by angola. what's pathetic is that chinese fans still refuse to admit that their country sucks even though it is clear that they don't got any game. The chinese' biggest problem is that they like to ligve in denial. Even when exposed as useless losers, they still PRETEND to be respectable. That just doesn't make any logical sense. For the chinese, is pride and stupidity the same thing? most of you shouldnt even be talking about basketball anymore. your country was a big disgrace in the world championships. you guys should just stick to ping pong because it's obvious you chinese arent ready for big time in the REAL sports yet. ha ha
why are the chinese so proud of their lousy achievements
