Re: Creme de la Mer
Anyone here try it? I've heard that it's the best night time moisturizer on earth right now. Some NASA engineer created it and the starting price is at around $200 up to $1,000 per jar. For something that costs that much, it's gotta work for some people, right? So share your experience with Creme de la Mer with us. Is it worth the $1,000/jar? Is the best you've tried. What has it done for your skin?

Does anyone here have permanent eyebrow makeup? If so, can you tell me how long you've had it and if it has changed color? Also, if you had it tattooed or Soft Tap method. Well any information would be helpful. Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone had any comments about the makeup line "Zhen"?? It's supposedly created entirely by Asian sisters. If anyone has had prior experience to using this particular brand, please give a shout out! Thanks.

Johnna,
check out Zhen cometics, find their website on google. Zhen is a cosmetics company founded by asian women for asian women only.
Margaret Kimura, who wrote the book Asian Beauty, also has her own line of asian cosmetics.
Otherwise, find foundations with lots of yellow tones in them. Hope this helps.
P.S: I bought Margaret Kimura's Asian Beauty book and love it. It tells about how to apply eyeshadow on asian eyes, apply blush, right foundation etc. It's worth checking out.

the boob tube,
the girl in the maybelline commercial definitely was not zhang ziyi. There's no resemblance. The girl in this commerical was just so pretty! I wish there were more asian models on tv, magazines, etc.
They are the most gorgeous in the world!;)

maybelline product junkie,

Zhang Ziyi has been featured in several Maybelline commercials as she's on contract with them so it might have been her. I don't recall that particular commercial but the one for mascara is her. :)

Personally for me, the best make-up and skin care line hands down is Nars. The products may be a bit expensive, but they are soo worth it. The eyeshadows are perfect cause they are not too sheer and not to dark. Nars blushes are natural looking and have the best colors.

Some asians don't have much of an eyelid, so avoid wearing eyeshadow if you do.
If you do have a lot of an eye crease, put on black eyeliner on your upper eyelid, but not all the way bc our eyes are shaped differently. Then wear a waterproof/smudgeproof dark black mascara. And put on chapstick. Asians look best when they're natural. Or else we'll look like clowns!! lol

hello, i do not believe asian women have to buy special or expensive makeup to look good. my favorite makeup routine is to always curl my eyelashes by heating up the metal curler with hair dryer. make sure it not get too hot or else u will burn yourself=) I like to use old mascara becasue it tend to be thicker than a brand new one and it will make lashes look thicker and dry quickly. I use dark brown eye shadow on the eyelid fold right above my lashes and use a black eye liner to line just the outer one third of my upper and lower eyelids. (if you put on foundation on your eyelids first, then put translucent powder on top of foundation, i promise your eyeshadow will not get all melted into the crease in your eyelid. well thats some of my advice=) hope everyone else shares their tips.

I need some consulting for makeup foundations and eye makeup application. I currently wear heavy eyeliner on my eyelids so my eyes appear bigger.

Hi,
I have always been fascinated with makeup application on Asian women. I have gone through a lot of expensive brands of shadows, blushes, lipsticks, etc. Here are some I would recommend. For blushes, Shu Uemura has one of the BEST texture that sits nicely on asian skin, more importantly it wont make you break out. For shadows, Nars eyeshadows do NOT crease, even on people with oily skin. Glosses, Bobbi Brown's lip shimmers are nice and sheer and does not give you that gross white line of skin in the end of the day. Brows, Bobbi Brown's Mahogany eyeshadow is great for asian barely-there brows--use it with a brow brush for the most natural look. I swear by these brands. If you have any tips or makeup that you just absolutely loove, please share the beauty!
