went to korea last autumn. the lady who runs the restaurant candidly ask my korean friend where am i from. she said i was very good looking, with all the proportionate features on my face--a cute well-matched nose, and nice (not too thin or thick) lip, white skin like the local, and masculine eyebrows, and nice double-lid eyes of the right size (not too big anyway, all natural, and no surgery!).

she concluded that i look japanese and was amazed I am in fact chinese, saying most chinese dont really look so good.

so what is this thing all about? I really dunno but here's some conclusions:

1. these korean are just so superficial for that they r only concerned with looks, good looks to be exact. if u r georgeous, u hear them singing praises. if not, maybe they give u a cold face, and talk behind yr back when u r gone.

2. they said i look like Japanese. is that a hidden sign of them all looking up to Japanese, many of whom are major tourist in this korean city.

3. but again, koreans are pretty honest in a way, they say what they think. i am lucky coz i got the compliments. i think japanese and chinese (to a lesser extent) are not that vocal. they tend to observe the importance of face values.

WTF is up with the term "Manchurian"? There's no such thing, I'm from Harbin, and everyone just calls it the "Dongbei", northeast region of China. How would koreans feel if they were constantly asked whether they came from north or south korea?

(Yes and No.)

I know a lot of rich South Koreans like to go to the Yangban Korean Autonomous regions in Manchuria to find brides.
(I know and that's true, but they are rich??? where did you get that? I don't think so. Many of them are losers in Korea. not all of them but many of them. Since they are hard to find Korean bride in Korea, they try to look for woman in Manchuria.
No Korean woman wants to get married with them. They have all disadvantages for marriage, no wonder why Korean women never get interests on them.)

Many of them complain that their South Korean husbands are too abusive.
(Yes possible. What do you think they try to look for their bride in other country? Of course if they are good men, they have already their g/f's or their prospective brides. (no matter the women are Koreans or Non-Koreans)
but many of them (the men who try to look for women from out of korea DESPERATELY, especially in Manchuria) still stick to the old custom and they are humble and lack of respect women. most of them are not good for marriage partner.

but vice versa, there are Manchurian women who do harm to meek Korean men under the pretence of marriage promise.
They get married to meek Korean men and make an attmept to run away with stealing money and admission ticket that is approved by Korean Immigration Bureau.

So if you know any Manchurian women who consider marriage with Korean men,there is every probablity under this fact Korean men want very submisive women who available stick to ONLY house hold care and support their old parents.
and they are not rich (it is just cheating.). tell them to look over mens' home background, occupation, reputation, income etc etc very carefully. most of the cases are placed under what I mentioned.

I am not trying to bash of them.
sure there are also good Korean men in the case with Manchurian women.
but it is necessary to watch out many of them. I am just telling the truth.

I have watched a report that over 2,000 south korean men get married to manchurian women yearly. and that's contained to the case of 7,001 korean men who married to chinese nationality women in last year. )
