WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
To, Han Guk;
WOW, try to get yourself out of the negative stereotype. Leave the viets and flips in there.
Feeling insecure?
I know alot of coreans who like viets. My cousins's full viet, and he had two corean girls going for him last year (they were actually sisters, so it's kind of freaky to think about it). This year he's dating a totally different corean girl (she's hot! but crazy, she's the crazy one).
Hey, viets aren't always bad boys. Give us a few more years and we'll be way better off. For a group of people who's only been on N. American soil for no longer then 35 years, we're doing pretty well.

Chinese men and Korean women got a lot going for them.
For one thing, they are not even different races. If you look at the DNA of Korean paternal lines, it is 82.5% similar to that of 95% of all Chinese guys. Paternally speaking, they are from one and the same. There had to be a love happening in the past for this to be genetically true. Korean women couldn't resist the sexual attraction and non-violent nature of Chinese guys.
Almost all the Corean girls I know who have interest in Chinese tell it is because of the shape of Chinese guys' eyes and excitable nature that get them so attracted to us. Yeah, sometimes we do like to act around like monkeys around women. We tease them, we joke with them, basically we act like slaves and dogs around them. But, in the end, we get what we want and those girls enjoy every bit of it too.
I don't know... Some girls are also attracted to differences, y'know...

People need to chill on this board and stop spreading lies and misperceptions.
Maybe it's still not the norm, but I personally know, not a few, Chinese male and Korean female couples. I even know a few who got married. Mind you these Chinese men were of "Southern" origin or Taiwanese.
As for what the families thought, that's a different issue. I know there are Korean families who want their children to marry only Koreans. While there are also Chinese and Taiwanese families who only want their children to marry Chinese or Taiwanese.
As for these Chinese/Taiwanese and Korean couples: did anybody put a gun to their heads to force them to marry or date??? It's a mutual thing.
There are Korean females who date or even marry Southern Chinese men. Get over that fact. So, stop spreading this crap that Southern Chinese are the scum of Asia, we are not at all! You are doing nothing, but making an a** of yourself and only exposing your low self-esteem (when you have to put down people).

That much harsher from the Flip side:
Oh Give me a break! I guess to you, most Coreans are mini mart owners? Its like saying all you Chinese are own take outs. I doubt any Corean girl would give you the time of day.
I have never asked for phone numbers:
Ok, pretty boy show us your photo.
I doubt you have the balls.

I don't find Corean women or any other women to be status symbols, nor do all the Chinese and Chinese-American friends I know. We do not go out of our way to hit on Corean females. Usually, they give us the looks first and we just respond like any normal red blooded man would. You know, when the girl looks deeply into your eyes, ...that kinda feeling.
Love just happens, and we can't stop it.
I must say that almost always when a Corean girl and a Chinese boy falls in love it is the physical attraction that clicks.
There is a Corean church not too far from the Chinatown where I work part-time in my uncles fast Chinese food take out place. On every Sundays, the Corean church-goers would come eat at my uncle's restaurant after church services.
I see so many of them young Koreans. But, a lot of the girls would sometimes just sit, talk giggle and many would become silent when they "lock" eyes with me.
Even the older women in their 40s would hit on me with their occasional stares.
I try to do my job and not to look at them from the counter. Even my aunt tells me that she sees those Corean girls looking at me.
But, I already have a live-in Mexican girlfriend of many years, and I don't want to put up with the drama from Corean guys.
I have never asked for no phone number

You are correct about Viets and Flips. But I do have to say a lot of Korean girls date Chinese guys.
