actually it's really hard to spot vietnamese living IN Vietnam who have french blood.

It's true that a big number of hong kong beauties are from Shanghai, Beijing,...Kristy Yang, Faye Wong from ShangHai, Jacqueline Li from Beijing, some from Taiwan,etc... in the 40s to 70s, people say Hong Kong stars look the best. Now it seems some think they look worse. not a lot of stars can be as beautiful as the ones of the last generation. probably now a lot are cantonese. well just my guess i didn't mean to offend anyone. actually Kelly Chen is so cute!

Maggie Q is half vietnamese. Actually she's among FEW hong kong stars who are part white. there's this one actor who is vietnamese well what's his name?

hm...it's true that some vietnamese has a pinkish cast to their skin but i don't think there's a big difference btw vietnamese, chinese, korean skin. the difference is slight. Actuallt they look all the same to me.

Actually, i don't think a lot of them have vietnamese blood. just a few.

as for the skin, chinese women must wear more make up than vietnamese do. that's from my travel experience. But w/ all kinds of cosmetics sprouting, you can have all kinds of skin you want. stop being jealous.

TO observer:

in Vietnam, women don't put a lot of make-up. The weather is freaking hot and humid there. i travelled there once. if you put a lot of make-up, it will be melted down. Some adults put a lot of make up, however, the children and young girls don't. and those people usually have pinkish skin. most of the viets you see in america could be either non-kinh or mixed.
