You know I was wondering, growing up, most of my Chinese friends were circumcised, ever those born in Taiwan. I always thought that circumcision was just an American thing. Anyone know more about this?

the problem with being circumcised is that your penis gets dried out and desensitized and requires alot of lotions and crap like that to keep it from looking irritated.

having some smegma is actually good for your dick head. it has a purpose and thats to keep your dick head from looking like a dried up piece of leather. smegma isn't the problem, using that petroleum hand lotion to keep your dick from looking dried up when your circumcised is. plus, if I wasn't circumcised you can bet I would be carefully washing myself down there to keep that smegma from building up.

Like I said, being circumcised sucks.

most filipinos are yes, circumcised.
being very concious with cleanliness---(filipinos are known to bathe at least 2X a day)---the basic reason why my filipino brothers do it---regardless of religion, social and economic and educational background is for---hygenic purposes.

though cicumcision is not a primary consideration if i fall in love w/ a guy---i'd prefer that the guy would be circumcised.

As a J/K nurse, I notice that men with foreskins tend to develop infections, and develop a number of selfcare problems in the later years, and having a foreskin makes it harder for hygiene. In addition, statistics have shown that Jewish women (whose husbands aer cicumcised) have almost non-existing rates of cervical cancer (compared to women whose culture does not incorporate circumcision for males) and this is directly attributed to their circumcised husbands.

Sorry, I'm not Asian (I live in Vancouver, I'm the white guy! ha ha!)but thought I'd throw my 2cents worth in. I was just circumcised at the age of 29. I would never get my son circumcised without his consent but would help him if that's what he wanted later on. I figure that I'm at about 40% sensitivity than what I was before. Hopefully this will progress with time. I love the look of being cut but there is no comparison in terms of feeling. I agree that the best time to be cut is around 12 or 13. Women have their menstrual periods to commence their change into puberty and I think men should too (if they so choose).

Please forgive my ignorance, for I was raised in the Philippines where everybody is circumcised. 53%!!!!!!! of Asian American males are uncircumcised!!!!!! I am truly sorry if I have offended anybody which was not one of my intentions. One of the Filipino beliefs about circumcision is that if you are circumcised at the right age say about 12-13 yrs. old it can help you grow(i'm 5'11), I believed it when I was about to be circumcised but now I don't even think about it. It doesn't really hurt when you get circumcised seriously, I never felt anything because of Anesthesia, It was itchy as hell though!!!!! and definitely no PORN!!!!, because the stitches are going to hurt so bad due to the expanding of the skin. I think one of the explanation for circumcision is you have to keep it clean from KUPAL(filipino term for those stinky white stuff, also used to refer to idiot @$$holes) and when the skin is removed it doesn't hurt that much when you touch the head.

Sorry my post has no direction because I am still overwhelmed by the number of asian americans who are not circumcised.
