Why do all these other asians think they are better looking than us filipinos?

malays are way better looking, and would steal there wives and gf's easy.

Firstly someone said that we are all related, blacks whies and asians, this is bullshieet, ok maybe the theory of the human race started in africa is correct, but the thousands and thousands of years of fornicating would have no doubt extinguished any of the african blood in an asian or white mans body. Personally i dont think the human race started in africa, why does everyone think that? is it because the oldest skeleton was found there or is it that africans have similar facial features of that of an ape? Im not being racist im just pointing out the facts. Someone said blacks and asians had cities before whites. Now this is half wrong, China was a great empire that was technologically advanced compared to other european countries, but africans were still living in huts and did not have the civilised organistation like that of china or Rome now all of you call 'ignorance is bliss' a racist, but he isnt really, what he said had no racial intent, he was just pointing out that he didnt think that there was enough evidence that asians originally migrated from africa. So all of you Martin Luther King wannabes just chill out, is it when you hear the word monkey that you all jump and scream racist. And it is true, alot of blacks talk about africa, but they know very little about it. I see no racial intent there. And to the person who said that chinese are negroids with fair skin, please, that is so pathetic what about the hair. Personnally i think the theory that humans evolved from china is very valid. Why isnt it possible that africans migrated from china or whites migrated from china. Well wherever the human race started, it dont mean diddley squat because the fact is were are not all related, we are all human so thats something we can all relate to, but gebneticallly we are very different.

Now tehre is going to be some people who jump up and scream racist or whatever, or claim that im white haha, but what ive said is my opinion and i am not racist and i havent said anything that has any racial intent.

By your logic we are all related equally to rocks, air molecules, plants, dog shit, etc. We are all matter, so we are all connected, right? You're killing me lol. Aiyah! I'm sure he was a great man, but what is with all this 60%, 40%, 10%, 200% nonsense. Please, it sounds like a recipe.

My young nephew, a delightful little man, is 100% Filipino-European. His mother and my sister is Filipina - although I suspect her right big toe is actually Chinese - and his father is your average European mongrel from Canada. His siblings claim he was left on the doorstep by passing Gypsies, but I don't believe that crap!

By the way, i suspect the poll results suggesting Chinese are the most attractive Asians reflects the ethnic breakdown of the participants in the poll. I vote Filipino - assuming we exclude Joseph Estrada - but I'm prepared to be wrong.

Well, I suspect Hong Kong would be much like any fishing village on Lantau or Lamma had the British not shown up. For centuries, Guangzhou had been the centre of social and economic gravity in the region, and likely would have remained the regional powerhouse for at least another century if it weren't for the British.

British traders needed a safe harbour from which to conduct their dealings along the Chinese coast - after running into trouble with the authorities in Guangzhou - and wrestled control of Hong Kong from Beijing for that reason. Hong Kong might have been a pleasant little place like Mui Wo on Lantau without the Jardines, Elliots and Pottingers around to muck things up.

Ignorance may or may not be bliss, but it has certainly strangled this discussion. In their haste to oppose Mr 'Ignorance Is Bliss', many respondents expose their own ignorance and racism.

One suggests the offending comments couldn't have come from an Asian, presumably because East Asians couldn't say such a thing. I've lived in East Asia for years, and believe me, yes, some can.

One claims "whites" were "walking around in caves" while "Asians and Africans were building cities." By implication this suggests that "whites" - and I assume that person meant Europeans and not the numerous "white" peoples of the Middle East and the western regions of Central Asia - are somehow inferior.

Another person says we we were all once "negroid", but then goes on to say that whites, and by implication Indians, are descended from neanderthals. With the possible exception of the collective membership of Boy Bands out of Europe and America, the evidence would suggest this is untrue.

Intead, the evidence argues strongly that neanderthals died out in the many centuries during which the first wave of human migration from Africa reached what is now Europe and the Middle East. Similarly, earlier homonid branches in East Asia died out without a genetic trace as modern humans took over that part of the world.

Most new findings - anthropological and genetic - argue that Africans, Asians, Europeans, Australians, Native Americans, my neighbours Bob and Susan, your cousin Rashid, and even Jerry Falwell, all descend from the orginal bunch that first struck out from Mother Africa.

I also found it telling that 'We Are All The Same' put Filippinos at the bottom of his list, and coyly calls into question the Filippino's Asian-ness. Too many other East Asian peoples do the same.

I can see most of those defensive comments were meant without malice, and here I pointedly exclude that "White man's puppet" hogwash!. But please, let's remember that all people can hold racist views, and let's all hug, kiss, and make up. Hallelujah!

im sick of people (notice i am not singling out the chinese or japones) saying filipinos want to be asian. u dont wanna accept that our culture is different from yours. you dont like that we have spanish names. filipinos just accept that. we dont even care about names. we dont all have spanish names. agbayani, zamboanga are all filipino names. you think just because we go to church every sunday that we want to be spanish. you think just because we are forever linked to hispanic culture more so than the chinese or japanese that we want to be to be spanish. you call us "not asian" or pacific islander. you discriminate against us because we are part of the brown race. filipinos try so hard 2 be accepted just like any other asian. my little bro comes to me today saying that his asian friends are making fun of him calling him "mexican" or "indian" saying he isnt asian. ive had enough
