I also agree with Atlantis M. Sometimes I think the discrimination some Asians face is worse from other Asians than they face from non-Asians (such as whites, blacks and other people).

I've noticed these biased opinions- if you are northeast Asian or northeast Asian-looking (northern Chinese, Korean, Japanese) you are superior (it seems to be the message being sent by many whether directly or indirectly).

It almost seems to be negative if you are darker Asian, whether you are Filipino, Thai, Vietnamese, or even Southern Chinese. It seems to be a negative to be "Malay looking." That's alot of bias here. I'm Taiwanese (by blood I am 4/5 Southern Chinese and 1/5 Plains Taiwanese aborigines- a Malayo-Polynesian native of Taiwan). I have darker features (not as dark as some dark Filipinos or Cambodians) but darker than a "typical" Chinese. In fact, I am often mistaken for being Filipino or Thai. But, you know what, I have no shame if I "look more Filipino or Thai" (I admit that used to bother me because I was "brainwashed" to think that was a negative, but now I'm proud of that "look"). I'm proud of my heritage, as you should also be proud of your own heritage.

I'm here to write all this bias is nothing but BS and people's own opinions. We are all unique- whether you are northeastern Asian or southeastern Asian, southern Asian. Whether you are northeast Asian looking or Southeast Asian looking. Whether you look northern Chinese or Korean or whether you look more Malay.

Well said, you get my vote for president for the day. Your wisdom however correct seems to be wasted on this board where the most popular sport is Asian bashing, second only to Black bashing. I say ALL people of color of the world have much more in common than the pale face would like you to realize. If all people of color would ever unite with common interest, it's all over baby.

Andrew Sly why should we embrace the latinos, were are not latinos the only thing in common is that spanish had something to do with our countrys. But otherwise the hardly any relation.

Number1: look at countrys like argentina and paraguay, those countrys are mostly 100% ethnic italians or spanish, no indian blood in them. Puerto Rican lets see i dont think Ricky Martin or Christina Aguilerra have any indian blood in them. But Filipinos 99% dont have and white blood in them at all. It is obvious that you want phillipines to be known as latinos, get this in your brain there is nothing for us to embrace. WE ARE NOT LATIN.

No one is denying the cultural similarities that the Spanish and Latinos have with the Filipinos. They share some things in common. That is not the reason why they will never embrace one another. The reason is because 97% of Filipinos are pure Malays, while the rest are chinese and chinese-malay, and only 1% are of malay-spanish blood. Meanwhile, Latinos are all either Spanish or mostly spanish-indian. Latin american countries are on average 60% mestizos (that incline to on the spanish genes)and the rest are 20% Spanish, with the other 20% shared between Indians, blacks and mulatos.

Meanwhile the Philippines is 1% mixed malay-spanish, and there are no Spaniards left to even make up 0.5% and then everyone else is malay or malay-chinese or chinese.

Comparing Spain and Latin America to the Philippines (which share cultural similarities), is like comparing England and Australia to India (which also share cultural similarities).
But we would never suggest that Indians are Anglos like the English and Australian. Same, Filipinos aren’t Latinos like Spaniards and Latin Americans.

All you said rings true. But you have to realise, all these asian here are bickering over who is more worthy to be with a white person.

Anything they say is either because they are contrasting themselves to other asian nationalities, or because they are comparing themselves to whites.

Basically, everyone in here is debating over who is less Asian, and they get quite nasty at it, hence, the better they feel. They are all asians who have grown up in the west, and all of you poster have sold out to your race!!!!!!!!!

What makes me sick is how all you asians here say you are all equal, but as soon as one says they are different you UR asian too, as a way of prooving they are just as undesirable as you, because to you all being asian is bad, and you won't let anyother asian be less asian before you yourselves can.
