What part of the US do you live in???
East Asian Americans in general are well similated into American culture while balancing our customs and are better accepted than blacks or Hispanics in general. East Asians enjoy the highest per capita income and educational level than any other race or group.
Perhaps, you live in a low income area, I have observed that whites who often frown on Asians are poor whites with the same ghetto mentality as blacks who are the jealous of overall Asian success in America.

Filipinos are the most passionate of the asians. they are very very very emotional. So to all my koreans out there, try to be friendly to them because thats all they have ever been to us.

My opinion is that I think Hispanics are seen as mentally lazy and dumb in the United States overall. We Hispanics have accepted this stereotype and turned it into an advantage for us. It's almost good that people underestimate us. It puts people's defenses down and let's them open up to us more because they don't feel threatened by us and therefor trust us more. Also many people are more used to seeing us around their homes or businesses because we are usually there to work and not just loiter or screw around.

Black people have the toughest time because they either have a lot of contact with Whites and are very successful or have no contact and may be having a hard time. People really like successful and middle class black people in America but are intimidated or really scared of lower income black people or don't know how to deal with them. But that can be said for any race I guess.

Asians have it kind of tough in the United States for right now. Non-Asians expect them to be smart. And since many Asian people (especially Asian men) are smart but kind of reserved the people they deal with are also afraid or wary to open up -intimidated. If Asian people, on average, would learn to pal around, joke with and open up more to non-Asian people the way they do with each other (I know they know how to joke around in their own languages or with family) they would have it made. Humor, opening up, and not taking yourself too seriously goes a long way in the United States.

I hate to admitt it, but I really think Asian women seem to have mastered the skill of being more personable than asian men to non-asians. This is part of what makes them so popular not only to white men (aside from looking good), but with white women wanting to be friends with them as well -where physical looks are not important. This will change because there are some really funny Asian guys out there with a great sense of humor. I yest <-(see that's a joke) wanted to add to your comments. Adios Amigo...=^

I would disagree with you regarding Hispanics. True, Hispanics/Latino is not a race, but a culture. There are many "white" Latinos, but there are also many mestizo or mulatto Latinos- they are often stereotyped negatively as illegal immigrants, laborers, etc. While the some English speaking Latino youth are stereotyped as being gang members, etc. These are unfortunate stereotypes, but I would say Latinos are also stereotyped, just like African-Americans and Asian-Americans.

In America, Asians and Blacks are the most hated races. People tend to think of blacks as lazy,drug addicts, gangsters, and rapists. People think of us Asians as foreigners,money hungry, job stealing,unemotional people.
Hispanics and whites have it easy. Because if you really think about it, many Hispanics are actually white. Hispanics is a culture. Of course their are many Indians,Mestizos,Spanish,Africans and other races that live in Latin America and idenify themselves as Hispanic.
