are you sure about the derogatory views that Koreans hold towards other ASian nationalities?

I think these views may only reflect class or socio-economic differences than ethnic differences. As a fact, many Chinese immigrants in U.S. are from poor backgrounds in their home nations, and that may account for the negative view Koreans hold of them... in fact, within Chinese society it is quite common for those of more privileged backgrounds to "look down" upon those of lower status, so this type of "superiority" may have little to do with one's ethnic identity.
however, as far as Chinese as a whole nation is considered, it would be extremely silly for Koreans to look down upon them; I think its clear to everyone that China is destined to become one of the great nations in the world, more than Korea will ever become.

Koreans do suffer from a greater degree of sterotyping and a feeling of superiority.

In my humble opinion, its due to several reasons: couple of millenniums of being isolated and inward looking/isolated culture (don't forget that China also thought themselves a superior culture to the barbarians outside their borders), the Confucious culture - where one is either above or below in the power strucutre - win all or lose all type of attitude, heavy sterotyping even among themselves - one region to another - e.g. to the extreme that intermarriages are heavily frowned upon by teh people from teh superior region and people from that region mask their origin and accent, also perhaps to compensate for feelings of insecurity or inferioty to the huge mother China and chip on the shoulder they carry against Japan.

About the Japanese - the attitudes of the Japanese here in US are quite different from those in Japan. I think the Japanese feel superior to the Koreans and other Asian nations.

I do agree that sterotyping and superiority complex seems to be tendency with having more money.

99.9% of filipinos dont claim spanish or chinese ancestory. Thats just something that is going around among asian communities but most filipinos really dont claim this. Why would they?
Look at the filipinos...one of the bravest people on earth, an incredible culture, a hybrid race. They welcome other cultures, and all we Japanese and Koreans do is PUT THEM DOWN. Thats horrible....It just makes me sick

well if you think about it, Chinese, Koreans and Japanese tend to look down on other asians the most and with each other.

to "l"- I agree, I am a WF that once dated a Korean boy who was nouveau riche, he was spoiled, bratty, lazy and no work ethic. But that was probably a reaction to his parents telling him all his life to make lots of money, achieve, only date Koreans, and he was kind of retaliating. His sister was the snottiest most horrible person I've met. She came to visit us in our apt and acted like she was being forced to stay in a barn, though the apt was quite clean. He also complained that his parents could be incredibly petty about everything, and that they considered themselves superior to everyone.

Japanese do that all the time. I’ve heard it countless times. However, I've heard similar things around the the world, comparing attractiveness to similarity to their own.

I think there are many Asians with the superiority complex. Yes, I heard about some Koreans who think they are superior to all other Asians (especially "poorer" Asians).

I also know Taiwanese (I'm Taiwanese-American) who think they are superior to Mainland Chinese, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Filipinos, and yes, Koreans. I don't agree with this perception nor do I agree with the perception of other Asian ethnic group thinking they are superior to others.
