i just dont like it that these people who migrated here in the past and are less than the native population are treating the native people like they own the place. They may have been born here but the land theyre living on was stolen from natives in the past by the british and west malays and sold cheapley to the chinese. I dont have any problem with the chinese race, i have a problem with the general population of chinese malaysians treating the non-chinese with such disrespect. Ive seen what happens when natives dont fight for theyre land and respect, they trun out like the aboriginies of Australia. with theyre land stolen and theyre culture nearly wiped out. Sure the chinese just want a better life in this land, but at whos expense?? at the natives expense? some people fail to see that, and start calling me racist or kkk or hitler or whatever.

actually i can see where AZN REalist is coming from, im fijian, and i dont know if anyone else heard but i think it was early 2001 late 2000. George Speight, a fijian native recentely attempted a coup. Why? because an indian prime minister got voted in. I am a fijian and my island is being overrun by indians. It may seem racist, but the fact is indians dont belong here in this south east asia or oceania, whatever you wanna call it, 40% of my country is now indian thanks to the british who brought them in for theyre cheap labour. So AZN realist, from one native islander to anotehr native islander, i fell for you, i know what its like for your land to be taken by foreigners. and we as fijians also know what its like to be screwed by the british.

Well the eyebrow thing does seem to be true. However, Han people also have curved eyebrows, not just straight. women in ancient chinese paintings have curved eyebrows.

to tell apart chinese or malay, you can look at the eyebrows.usuallay Malay eyebrows are more arched and lower while chinese, korean and japanese have higher eyebrows. Another thing is cheekbone. Malay tend to have higher cheekbones. and their mouth are generally larger.

To a traveller's view:

it is still uncertain if vietnamese are truly the yuehs. The yuehs were believed to originally come from Fukien, Chekkien where the ancestry of Thai and Laotian originally settle in. In both vietnamese and chinese historical annals, Thai and laotian came from Fukien, and vietnamese has lived from the Yangtze river to the red delta river but later on they moved South. So if the southern chinese have vietnamese blood, they must be the people living in more west areas.

Are you vietnamese?? well i'm only curious.

I don't know about genetics, but the pastry sweets of Guangdong is undoubtedly similar to those of the Muslim world (Arabia, Persia, Turkey).

I just went to buy some pastry at a Lebanese Arabic pastry, and the way they style and make the little cakes look exactly like the ones I buy in Chinatown. Even the fillings they put in tastes so similar to Cantonese styles.

Many Uigurs had settled in southern China during the late Tang and also during the Yuan. Most assimilated, but some still maintained their Turkic language and culture. Even today, a pocket community of Uigurs still exist in Hunan province. And, of course, we know that many Persians and Arabs had traded and settled Guangdong and Fujian sea ports even well before the Tang Dynasty took over these areas.

Another dish is the fried rices that I find so similar to Persian style pilav dishes. Chinese fried rice, especially "Yangzhou fried rice" may have derived from the Persian pilav as Yangzhou is a seaport city that once traded with Persians and Arabs. Even the Italian risotto and Spanish paella have similar origins.

i'm vietnamese and the way i usually tell vietnamese people from other asians is by their facial features. viets tend to have larger eyes, and a flatter, wider nose. they also tend to have full lips and have a darker skintone. of course there are exceptions but most generally fit this description. the only other asian nationality i can usually distinguish are koreans (smaller eyes, narrower face, lighter skintone) and filipinos.

Why do the Chinese claimed that they are descendents of every Asian nationalities (Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Filipino). They are hinting that they are mixed with all non-Chinese Asians and suggesting that they owned all of Asia. A big country does not make you the people of other smaller size countries. Although, the Chinese could migrate and spread throughout Asia but believe me there are very little mixing.

From my knowlege, China is not all that humongous. About quarter of it consist of Tibet and Manchuria. Tibetian are not Chinese and speak a different language incomprehensible to the Chinese. Manchuria I admit I don't know alot about but I think the Manchus are a separate people from the Han, in term of genetics. In addition, other parts of China are in the west are vast desert region. These deserts are unsuitable for irrigation and habitation so not many live there. As a result only eastern China which means a third or a fourth of China are populated by people. How can a small area sustain 3 million people all packed together? That is why they must move out of China.

However, non-Chinese are only influenced by the Chinese culture which are attributed to the teachings of Confucious and Lao Tzu. They have no desire to intermarry with the Chinese only absorbing good values from the Chinese culture. So saying "all Asians have Chinese blood" is incorrect to a certain extent. If so why can Asians tell the difference among themselve and their own ethnicity. That is due to the differences in facial characteristics, skin color, bone structure, body shape, etc. Which also include the Asian languages that keep us special and unique.

Korean people are the most fine looking for the guys, and for the girls they are also the prettiest too.
