I m Chinese and most my friends are Chinese and none of them watch Korean dramas or movies. Some listen to their music, but they can't name one Korean celebrity. Even tho I don't have Taiwanese friends, but I never read any articles about Taiwanese people all watching Korean drama rather than their own. Ever heard of Metheor Garden or F4? It's a Taiwan made drama with all Taiwan cast that's so popular, teens from Beijing to Singapore and Malaysia to Shanghai and Hong Kong to Chinese Americans watching it over and over again. Even though I don't watch them, but those guys are so frequently on press, it's annoying me seeing long hair guys being so popular in Asia. I think you got issues saying what you said in your post. It's filled with false claims. It was the Italians who claimed that that Koreans brided the referees. We Chinese got nothing against Koreans. Most of us are not even aware of what you guys are doing. Really! This Korean vs Chinese thing is only happening between ignorant teens fighting on the internet. I think some Koreans overlooked themselves. Most Chinese don't even have access to Korean drama. Even in the states. I don't know one single Korean celebrity (I don't have access). How do you find Korean dramas to watch?

Realistically speaking, Koreans are economically eligible for plastic surgery. And word has it (even from oddball non-asians with fetishes), they take full advantage of this asset.

Admittedly, the majority of Chinese are too poor to consider such prospects. And surely, even facial manipulations could scarcely venture into the economic ornate as the would-be "jawbone surgery". Aside from these constants, similar insecurities are not prevalent in their lives.

Virtually all races and ethnic groups have members who are guilty of cosmetic enhancements. But in Asia, the trend has Coreans indulging appreciably more than everyone else. That certainly sounds like evidence of "not enjoying how you look".

And I believe Coreans hold the 23% on goldsea because if you take a look at the posts here, the majority seem to be from Coreans (as compared to Chinese). Naturally, these would be the views reflected on the polls, and it certainly shows.

lol well said, its understandable and natural how every other asian race feels insecure when compared to a Corean. from making fake rumers and websites to pretending to be Corean to get better treatment in europe, is there no end to what these insecure and silly chinese will do? Instead of jealousy, envy, hating on us, and making silly rumors you should all support Coreans for we will be the ones that create and new and better image of the asian man, its not too late to fix the damage that previous chinese and japs have done to the asian image.

It is well reported in Korea that China and Taiwan are the only regions in Asia that were critical of Korea�s advance to the World Cup semi-final.
Taiwan, along with China, claims that Korea advanced to the World Cup semi-final with help from referees who received money from Korea government.

*Jealous losers that's all. I don't know why the Taiwanese are hopping mad they don't even have a national soccer team that can even beat Corea's high school champs. And China, NO GOALS and got blown out in every game. While every other countries in Asia celebrated Corea's achievments during the last World Cup, the Chinese commie government didn't rejoice. Why? Perhaps they were so embarrassed that a small country with fraction of China's population upstaged them again on the biggest international sporting tournment.

Three months ago hundred of Taiwanese entertainers took to the streets and demanded that Taiwanese TV stations stop airing Korean Dramas. They claim that they are left without jobs because of Korean dramas.
Well, as one Taiwanese girl put it, I stopped watching Taiwanese dramas because natural or fake I don�t find any of leads in our dramas good looking.

One thing that I notice in the before pics is that all Koreans have littie bittie slits that they call eyes. However, after surgery, they all have double eyelids to make them look more Chinese. Why is that?

Slanted eyes are often refered to as "Chinese eyes." The nerve of the Chinese troll mocking Coreans for their eyes, its like the kettle calling the pot black.

I've checked out the site, and I have to say that it's not that reliable a set of pictures.

For starters, plastic surgery can do wonders, but it doesn't do miracles. Some of the pictures of before and after seem to be tottaly different people. And I've never heard of any techique that can enlarge eyes, just get rid of the epicanthic fold.

Some pictures seem to be different stages of the actual people, while others seem to be less attractive look-a-likes of stars put next to stars.

Also, I ;ve seen some hot Korean women in real life...anime-like, hotter and softer than anything the Whites can come up with...(ignorant of me to say that)...So, I just can't imagine that all of them got surgery...and plus, plastic surgery isn't some magic where you can come out a Brad when you were Quasimoto before...

The Taiwanese site might have done this for petty reasons. I don't deny that Taiwanese culture has gradually evolved into the lowest form of Chinese culture. It is very xenophobic, to the point of even serious discrimination against other kinds of Chinese. And it is famous for making political low blows and coming up with fixed data of all kinds to slander every which way. Just look at a taiwanese newspaper from time to time and you'll see.

Very true, from real life experience as well as their online attitude....on average and in comparison...of course

Chinese can be prejudiced as well, but not in a north to south fashion. We can be prejudiced to Koreans and Japanese as much as we can be prejudiced towards Viets. North Chinese have a very bad image of Koreans actually (wife beaters, dog eaters, bow-legged, slit-eyed, not attractive, drinks a lot, roudy), so I don't get how many Koreans and ABC North Chinese see a natural alliance there.

I would say Chinese prejudice is more down to earth...more normal...we can be ignorant but it doesn't get in the way of us interacting, or even befriending or having intermarriage with other types of Asians.

There are plenty of attractive Korean women. It is an ignorant stereotype of us Chinese that Korean women do a lot of plastic surgery to look pretty. It's just as ignorant as saying Viet girls are ugly, when in fact both groups seem to have a lot of attractive women, perhaps on average more attractive than our Chinese girls (the ones on the actual streets, especially FOBs, and not in movies...aka...our self image fantasy world).

China is still more East than North. Isn't it enough if we realize Mandarin is a lingua franca? The true North is nearby culturally dead, now. No wonder that you never heard of it.

Korea is the pure East where they had time and space to develop their special features like broad flat faces and extremely short heads.

Ever heard the proverb: "We admire the GErmans, but don't like them." For Chinese it would be more like: "We consume the Chinese stuff, but neither like nor admire the Chinese?"

So Fake...,

some people in Asia had NO MIRRORS fifty years ago. "BEauty" was not known. (Today need only to take a look at Michael Jackson to forget surgery for ever.) The Mongolian beauty did not look beautifully, but hard working. "beauty" stuff is all the guilt of pop culture!!
