ok, you keep saying you are being serious, but I keep finding these gems to be really funny. Not because they are untrue, but because they ARE true.

What really hurts is that a lot of us Asian guys who are in not any way nerds, often get stereotyped as being one because of smaller stature and non-violent demure.

I don't know how much looks has to do with love, as I have never been in one. Only thing I know is that when I hang out with buddies at the clubs, I noticed that the attractive girls have their own "off limits list." Whenever a fat chunky guy, a short midget guy or as skinny bespectacled guy goes up for a dance, they only get the cold shoulder or cold laughs. It seems that beautiful young women still go for the gangster thugs or slick hunk types.

It all depends. There are some women who will only go for the looks, some go for both looks and money, some go for money only and some go for personality.
But, generally, young beautiful women are arrogant. They only think for themselves. I have seen some be so rude to someone at the clubs if he is ugly although he might be rich.

The place where I work at is another example of this. By, the way I am the only Asian worker in this Chicano-Mexican office. The young unmarried beautiful ladies here always end up sleeping with the married but handsome guys. Those same girls always turn down the attention that other less attractive co-workers give them.

A former nerd,

I see that happen all the time now with some of my more successful nerdy friends. Women we would have consider totally out of reach in highschool, will approach us to strike up conversations.

As we mature we realise that not all good looking women are looking for a Brad Pitt.

But beside parlaying our nerdy intellect for material gain. We can also parlay our nerdy intellect into good conversation, or remembering phone numbers and obscure dates.

After confirming our nerdy status by memorizing planke's constant or ohm's law, remember the date of the first kiss or first date is intuitively simplistic for nerds. For the extreme nerds, they will sometimes keep 2 or 3 women, just so that there will be more obsure dates to remember in order to challenge their nerdy intellect.

Once those women realised that a majority those jocks will amount to nothing after HS. They always flock back to the nerds; and not just as study partners, as they often use as an excuse. These women are so enthralled by our nerdy intellect they will think nothing of cleaning glasses or hand-washing our contacts lenses.

I thought most women were against arranged marriage, or at least a majority of people in the younger generation.

You know the whole freedom of courtship thing is considered to be fun.

Match makers are still used in Asia because there are still some restriction among interaction of the sexes. You can be segregated from the opposite sex in school all the way to college. I believe this is one reason why Japan has this huge market for dating simulation video games.
