people who have mile long checklists need to snap out of it. preferences are fine but there's a problem when people are stubbornly unwilling to compromise any of them, especially physical preferences.
i only have one important requirement. and that's some sort of below-surface level connection.

thought I was screwed up,

As a kid in highschool I decided to participate in the Westinghouse Science Competition. Found a job in a lab in NYC and started my research. Got a very small stipend for culturing derm cells and was allowed to conduct my research on the side.

On weekends I got a job flipping burgers at a place in Central Park.

Stupid things kids do for a buck, I was one of them too.
