WHAT YOU SAY

[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
MLK,
wow, do you mean your parents figuratively disavow your actions, not literally disown you? i would be very surprise if you can stand on your own at the age of 17 because the money aspect would kill most people. Are you the rare gem can survive through even the worse adversity of life and still come out smiling? (hopefully not because you became senile)

as for me, yes, i dreamt that i would have a castle surround by barbwire walls with a moat guarded vicious dogs(really reminds of prison—not that I ever been there before). but at last that dream did not come true. in reality, i support my parents in a modest home (poorly decorate due to lack of fashion taste—I blame that on the communists) Oh how wish i can be rich..rich..and RICH... i was so close and now everything seem so far.
And i never say i was a fortune teller to you. I made have see the future for me, but have not seen it for anyone else. And as i age, my dreams are forever ravage by the forces of reality...so this my life at the age of 28.

1/2LostSoul,

Hey man, you're off blowing AC's cover.
"But unfaithful, that's not my style"?    Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at 16:22:08 (PDT)
wow, i touched a nerve of the great ac. I'm very surprised. First off, it was not intended (ok, back pedaling now) to be an insult. Second, with all the other insults you got from the other forums, i'm surprised this one gotten to you. Anyway (more back pedaling), what I said is all speculation.
And no, i will not give up my day job to be a fortune teller. I might give up my day job to be masseuse (no, not a prostitute, a massage therapist). I am thinking about looking for a job if anyone want a a slightly used programmer. No major defects, just a little gray on the sides.

And can this be right? am i hearing things? is it my imagination or did you say "limited” experience. i never thought that word would come out of your mouth. Are you becoming more humble for…?

btw, what is going to happen in 2 weeks? Is it end of the world or a business trip to china? I'm sure your female admirers and closet male admirers are going to miss your witty conversation..hint, hint.. it starts with M....

Waiting for Mr. Right!,

Because once we open up and be true to ourselves, we realise we need to dump women like you. hahahaha.

But honestly, give up on the True Love theory and realise that any real relationship will need a lot of effort and commitment from both parties involved.

So in the future whether is the pudgy MD or cute Cabana Boy, don't go having unrealistic expectations of True Love.

1/2LostSoul,

In about 2 weeks I'll be out of here. Just thought I would spend the free time I had, or down time to be more accurrate, in sharing with other asians my limited experiences.

I'm not here for a pickup. That was never my intention.

Trust me I've never been unfaithful with any woman. I'm not that kind of person.

People can accuse me of being a flirt or even a tease. But unfaithful, that's not my style.

Anyways one day you will unlock all the angst that's keeping you from reaching your full potential. Then you'll know what I'm talking about.

PS - don't give up your day job to become a fortune teller.

AC Dropout,

has Jet Li chances to be a "dream AM" ? -In his movies he seems to bridge the gap between old-fashioned and modern men. Of course, I prefer to see him as the celibate in the movie "Tai Ji", then he's one competitor less. But I don't beilieve that men should/can take easy everything with humour. Many Jet Li or Jackie Chan movie contain both men with humour, but do not deny a pessimistic background.

Leonardo di Caprio is the "hero" of the movie "Titanic". He represents the ideal modern man for female fans around the whole world. He is small and has no muscles, but he has a "baby face".

Scandinavian anti-male politics make men depressive, I agree if you meant this. Scandinavia has a very high suicide rate among males. But "males" aren't died out as long as there are softies like di Caprio or "bisexuals".

However, let's wait for the next big eco-catastrophe, then perhaps strong males will awaited for.

Waiting for Mr. Right!,

you women aren't so innocent either

Waiting for Mr R,
what you are asking is hard for a man. In order for him to open up, he has to show weakness. A man will lose his masculinity if he shows weakness. Therefore he has to maintain the tough exterior shell if he wants to be a man.

And there is the difference between Mr Right, and Mr. Perfect. Someone who seeks perfection will never ever be happy because there will always be imperfection.

hahaaha! OK, so wit wins in the end. I do believe you read that correctly. I may hem and haw about all the great qualitites that I look for in a man, but in the end, if I really have to choose, I tend to have a soft spot in my heart for the witty funny ones. Physical beauty only holds me for as long as it takes to realize the guy can't think with his brains, only his hormones (usually, that's after a few lines of conversation).

You would make a really bad fortune teller. :) I actually supported myself all the way through school, from age 17 on. My parents disowned me because I was a disobedient child who would not do what they say. The only reason why I am in such good shape is because they taught me well enough for the inertia to carry me through early childhood. You're right about the impending MA.

"...a torture soul seeking a key to unlock the chains that bind me to the pain and suffering that I have endured"

You are a 30 year old who has been saddled with an ageing and creeking old haunted mansion which you must use all your monetary resources to shore up. The key you are looking for is the one that unearths the hidden buried treasures that your ancestral family has kept hidden for centuries, and now, if you don't find it soon, you will lose your family mausoleum (I mean home). :) Am I getting close?
