WHAT YOU SAY

i don't like liquid eyeliners, because it look so un-natural on me. dark chocolate colored pencil is more natural and it enhances ur eyes. i hab medium tone skin and i like to use chill the champagne from maybelline. it look shimmerly (but not overload) and it really brings out asian's dark brown eyes. i use it as an eyeshadow and on my lid (but not all the way to my eyebrow..just on the lid) and use it as a eyeliner on the bottem of my eyes. i think it look really nice. asians with lighter skin probably would look better in something lighter since chill the champagne is light brownish (to accomindate with my skin color).

I think my eye looks really nice with Black eye liner on the bottom of my eye and apply eye shadow on top , my faverite is Avon ' warm wine' kindna Red w/ warm brown under tone.
I don't think you need to limit yourself to any colour just because you are asian because we come in different colour and faces:).
Experience w/ colour is the key and learn to apply correctly.

Hi Chanel Baby,

when you say "cheap" do you mean "inexpensive"
or skanky/trashy?

haha!
I still like liquid liner
--you just need a steady, and light hand. I feel much crustier when I use any other kind of liner.

being asian makes it difficult to find makeup that looks right. they need to make a special line of make-up for asians. Not just for the light skin asians, we come in all different colors. The make-up they have now makes it difficult to find foundation or powder in my skin tone. I guess that is why alot of asian girls don't even bother with the mak-up thing and be natural.

i think aiasn woman look best with a brown-blackish eye shadow.but not were you spread it up all the way to your eye brow.just on the eye lid.
the color looks really good with the light bash color of a asian woman's skin.at least i thnk so.try it!

Chanels cake eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow combo in Black is the best. It comes with an eye-liner brush, a mascara brush and an eye shadow brush. All in a Chanel compact.

Sorry, Chanels cake eye-liner which you mix with water does not run but after long wear you may need to touch it up if you like the really dark lined look.

Liquid is frankly a cheap option and it looks heavy. With cake you can decide how dark or not to make it.

Chanel Rules.

I think my eyes (which are very asian) look best when they're left alone and natural. I don't like it when an asian woman with single lid thing lines their eyes with a thick eyeliner. Its cute if the eyeliner is thin and you pull it out to the side (kinda cat-eyeish), but sometimes its too much. I think everyone looks better natural.

Asian women need not to stick to dark eyeshadows.

I have been using Hard Candy Eyeshadow Quartet called TECHNO for years 'cause it's the best! It's easy to apply, just by using the brush that's already included in the case.
It has 4 flattering shades, ranging from the lightest to the darkest & one glittery shade. What more can you ask?
It's the perfect make up for day and partyyyyy.

ok, i'm not asian, but i've got sort of the same eyelid thing goin' on, and i've found, over the years, that no matter what kind of makeup i put on my eyes, i end up looking like i've got smaller eyes than before i put makeup on! this is especially the case with eyeliner. maybe the lesson here is that no makeup is better than any makeup, at least for me anyway. i think maybe eyeshadow and such are designed for people with those sunken-in kind of eyes (kind of like persian people) or something...anybody know of a website that can show me how to do better eye makeup or something??

You see , naturally your eye don't have any harsh line but plain eye lid , By using koal eye liner it's can be smudge and left w/ slightly smudge color shadow blend in w /your normal look. That what I meant.

By mean there is nothing wrong w/ liquid liner which some women prefer because of thier stay-on power , it gives sharp drastic look I personaly like it on many women w/ slender eye .

Sorry to offend some people.

i noticed that some asian women (in australia) especially the middle aged ones use heavy dark eyeliner/eyeshadow on their eyelids possibly to show the fact that they do have double eyelids but it looks awful...less is more

sorry, mistake on that cake eyeliner - it runs just as much as a regular pencil. Liquid liner is THE BEST!! I think liquid liner gives the crispest, and finest line that you can get. (how can that be not natural?)

Hey I wrote that I love liquid eyeliner, and I just found something even better: cake eyeliner! it's like a dry pan of eyeshadow, and you wet a brush, and pick up some of the "cake" onto the brush. It works even better than liquid -- I think it'll probably last longer than a premixed liquid liner too.

What could be worst than permenent tattoo cosmetic.
I think some older asian women made mistake to get their eye tattoo because it's seem to me their eye even appear smaller by tattoo all around the eye .

Let alone the risk of become blind by getting it done!! it is very expensive also.

I used variety of shadows but the color that I stick with seem to be in the shade of Chestnut , Mauve pink or Grey.
I don't like liquid liner on my eye because it does not look natural. Brown Koal liner is fine and it can be smude slightly to give a more natural looks.

Darphin has great colors for eyes. Very soft and suited for asian eyes. They also have a great skincare line great for asian skin. You can find this line at Purescape in Irvine Spectrum

asian women should really calm down on there makeup sometimes they really go over the top. i remember every time i go shopping i see girls between the age of 13-15 wearing full makeup to the max!! i mean such as eyeshadow eyeliner mascara lipstick lipliner foundation bronzing pearls i mean come on!!! by the time they reach there twenties there faces will be a MESS.so they should really sort they selfs out but i think they get it from the indian films!!!!

I like Almay and other hypo-allergenic make-up because I have sensetive skin and eyes.

liquid liner is great! I love it! -you just have to know how to apply it ... nothing uglier than crude application --you're better off wearing no makeup at all.
liquid liner stays put, and pencils tend to seem to get all runny and smudge around your eyes like you're drunk and pathetic.

I hate brown eye shadow! It makes my eyes puffy.

asian women shouldn't try to make their eyes rounder and more "european". asian eyes have their own unique beauty and women shouldn't try too hard to alter it- it ends up looking silly and very unnatural. a little neutral eyeshadow and mascara is fine, but painting on the liquid liner, black and white shadow, and false lashes is too much.

gross! there is this asian girl in my school who wears like STREAKS of blue and green eye shadow over her eyes-there is a LINE where the eyeshadow stops. if u absolutely have to wear neon blue eyeshadow, at least blend it in!

The choice of color should depend on one's skin tone, so it's okay to wear blue or green eye shadow if one has lighter skin as long as it's not too dark. Brown tones and other dark color eye shadows are for people with darker skin, both Asians or non-Asians.

The point of eyeshadow is to simulate a woman in the throes of passion. I don't know how the blue and green can be worked into this. Maybe it shows you're blueblooded?!

I've seen one too many Asian woman with so much dark shadow on, it looks as if she was the loser in a match with Mike Tyson. Maybe it's easier to get away with at night, but it's too extreme for the day. Come on, it's not going to give you a crease or make your eyes look bigger. We should wear the right type of makeup for our eyes - ask a professional MA (Makeup Artist - like those at the MAC counter) on tips. There are quite a few Asian MAs out there now, ask one whose makeup looks good on her.
