Hey, I also have straight lashes. I know how it feels to try to find the right mascara and foundation. What i recommend is Maybeline Wonder Curl that's WATERPROOF. I have tried just about every mascara, and that's the best, it makes my lashes look longer and fuller. What i do is, use the Shiseido eye lash curler (it's the best and as much as i paid for it, it's worth it)! then i put on two coats of mascara, and it works.. People actually think that my lashes are fake. Also, another good mascara is Chanel. I only use that on special occasions.
Always buy mascara that's waterproof, because it keeps the curls locked in and doesn't straighten them.

I've responded to this before. But i decided to put my input once again..since i've started using some products that work better for me now.
first off..
eyeliner- I have really light brown, goldish blonde hair, and fair skin. But i love black eyeliner, and trust me, i've tried all different kinds..expensive ones and cheap ones. The best black eyeliner that won't smudge and stays on for long periods of time..is [mabelline water proof eyeliner] and [chanel eyeliner]. you dont have to sharpen, just twist it up! I have a crease, and big almond shape eyes, so i also line my inner eyes to get the whole shape of my eyes noticed. I curl my lashes and apply mascara..my favorite is [mabelline soft lash msacara in black] it's cheap and easy to replace..cz u can get it everywhere. Plus it's easy to remove with eye make-up remover. I use clinique eye make-up remover. It works extremely well.
I like to use different colors of eye shadow depending on what time of the day it is, and what i'm wearing. I tend to apply more eye make-up at nite or for clubbing. I apply it with a makeup brush, so i won't get too much product on my eyes, and i blend. I like to go over my eye-liner with gray eye shadow to soften the harsh line.
For a pretty night time look, line your eyes in black eye-liner, brush on purple eye shadow on your lids, and go over with sparkly lavender loose eye shadow. then dot on a little silver sparkles on your outer eyes and a little bit by your inner corners. Then highlight your eyebrow bone with white shimmer shadow. when you blink, your eyes will sparkle..but its not overwelming. Just really pretty and noticeable.
For a pretty day time look, just line your eyes with some eyeliner of your choice, whatever compliments your features and skin tone. Then apply bronzy brown and light gray eye shadow to your eyes. Use a shimmer shadow in a light color to highlight your brow bone, it makes a big difference.
Goodluck on your eye make-up. Having good eye make-up really makes that extra difference. Too much and not any on asian eyes is a no no. But subtle and correct application is a plus.

Whenever I see pictures that accompany articles on techniques for Asian women's eye makeup, they're not much use to me because they're geared towards eyelids with no crease. I am Filipina and we usually don't have the creaseless eyelid. As long as I am on the subject, I can't stand it when Asian women apply their makeup to make it look like they have a crease. It's as atrocious as wearing the wrong color foundation. Creaseless eyelids are beautiful too, so enhance their beauty!

my mother is half canadian, half chinese, and my father is half chinese, half filipino. so i guess that explains that my lashes arent that straight, theyre kinda curled on the ends, but i still have that epicanthic fold. usually, i just put some green eyeliner on my lids, and smudge it.
some asians i know just hate their eyes and the way they look..all i have to say is, be proud of your heritage, and if ppl make stupid comments, that's their problem, not yours!

Hello sisters,
Although I've been enjoying reading all this advice, I still, after hours of experimentation have no idea on how to apply make up to my little creaseless korean eyes. Do any of you know of any sites with pictures of make up application, or even of creaseless ladies with make up on so I can have some sort of frame of reference? All the asian women in my life tend to have creases in their eyes so any advice from them is unuseable for me!
Please help.
