you said FOBs that doesn't live the American way of life should go back where they came from. What about Americans that live in Asia and doesn't not live the Asian way of life? there are enough Americans that live in Asia and still live an American way of life. Don't be selfish you AA. You AA are the one that should learn how to appreciate Asian people and Asian culture more.

You think you have the monopoly on "American way of life?" Quite possible to be an American without assimilating. I pay taxes, who are you calling a "leach"?

Proud to be American-born and speak fluent English. Proud to still have people thinking I'm a FOB just because they hear me speaking a foreign language in public.

I've only noticed the ABC/FOB divide in West Coast among the late teen and twenety something crowd. It is pretty much tied into the whole hangout/dating scene, and how exclusive they are in the ABC/FOB population. I think as you get older the individual become more accepting of their self image and will not need to lash out against their counter parts.

I've have notice Asian in their thirty and forty somethings complain about FOB, but that is usually because they are unable to come to grips with change in general among the immigrant population.

Only thing that I'm skeptical about FOBs is whether they will ever be assimilated into the American society.

If you are an immigrant, and you refuse to learn English, refuse to live the American way of life, I think you should go back to where you came from because the only thing you are doing is leaching.

But I understand how hard it would be for FOBs to try to become assimilated. In that case, just make sure that youre CHILDREN will become Americans, not FOBs.

Man, u guys need to chill out. why r u even bashing on the mainlander? i dont know where every1 lives, but i live in Houston and to tell u the truth the most annoying fobs are the vietnamese ones. they are the main ones tryin to mad dog u, talk shit about u in their language, etc. does any1 from houston agree with me?

i'd like to comment on fob from the mainland china, many of them here are pretty annoying, everytime they're on the bus they just HAVE to get a seat, even if it is a tiny space sandwhiched between two obese people. many of them are cheap and selfish, last week on the highway i seen this couple stop the car, the woman gets out of the passenger seat, runs to the free newspaper box to get a freenewspaper, while there was a huge lineup behind their car waiting for it to move!

I can tell right from your words you're simply prejudice against FOBs. Typical AA attitude. Its the first rule for you AA to hate FOBs. simple as that. your AA bigotry against FOBs is hypocritical. The AA people that fight against stereotypes and labels are the same people that give the same crap to FOBs. You can't treat FOBs fairly, don't expect Whites to treat you the same. Hypocritical.

It's degrading to use the abbreviation FOB. Either don't use it or implement an equally degrading acronym for ABAs. Any ideas?
