WHAT YOU SAY

Asian Dominatrix
Hear, hear! I hear you sister dear.
Here's another problem with a C cup. I have found that I tend to look as if I'm chunky in the waist if I don't wear slim-fitting shirts because my chest sticks out and hangs the loose fabric of the shirt away from my body. The problem gets worse if I wear a sweater or coat on top of the loose shirt. The problem disapears and I magically regain my waist once I put a belt on the coat or tuck the shirt in (or just take off the damn thing and get a snugger-fitting knit top).
Also, I can't go around with no bra on. My boobs just sorta flop all over the place and really get on my nerves, not to mention the fact that it needs support for being so heavy anyway...that would hurt after awhile, especially if I'm bouncing up and down on a treadmill or something!
Also, and correct me if I'm wrong...we could be in for some serious back problems when we reach old age because we have to carry so much excess weight in front of us. That reduction surgery is starting to seem like a not-so-bad idea after all...notwithstanding the pain of getting some fat cut out of you...I'm not sure how it's done, but I'll do anything for health reasons if I have to.

How can breasts be in fashion? It's a body part. Clothes flattering women with large or small breasts can be in or out of fashion but certainly not, I hope, the breasts themselves.

to old girl
No car! How do you get around? The only place(s) that you can get away with not having a car is in NY and in SF. If I didn't have a car, I'd starve to death...no job, no way to even go grocery shopping!
I'm glad we're a lot alike. I would hate to be the only kid on the block who didn't look like she was wearing a million bucks.
Let you in on one of my secrets. I like to go to the products shows (well, since I had to go at my last job, I thought I might as well make the most of it, right?) because companies are always giving away free teeshirts and I love them! They make great loungewear (not sexy, but very comfy) and sleepwear (again...not sexy, but I have never been able to sleep in anything that had scratchy lace attached to necklines and hemlines anyway) and gardening wear (not that I ever garden, mind you, and again, completely not sexy at all). Kinda reminds me of that song "too sexy for my shirt". hahaha!

MLK,
You seem to exude bootylicious style all the way! Couldn't agree more about the jeans: like great genes, they're sometimes just THE most important thing. Oh, and attitude too...I like the bit with the company penin your hair.
be,
Again, couldn't agree more. Who hasn't seen the pathetic fashion victim dressed up head-to-toe in Burberry's, Hermes, and Chanel and look like nouveau trash? (And BTW, out in Chicago, it's usually WF's who are guilty of this--altho' I've seen AF's in Boston who are about as bad.) Or the woman who wears clothes which obviously don't fit her body or her personality? The pink and green preppy thing looks a lot better on pink-complected Anglos, just as the cheongsam looks a lot better on Asian women with very slim, yet curvy physiques. (Altho' some Mediterranean type women can get away with it.)Similarly, more laid-back and/or sloppy types look better in loose and artsy garments rather than very tailored outfits.
But as far as designer shopping goes, I think sometimes many of us who go after designer duds are not so much into the designer concept itself, but are more interested in the challenge of looking like a million $$ for very little. It's kind of like seeing how much you can get away with. If someone handed me a million bucks and said "just spend this on clothes," I know I'd still be heading to the sales racks, looking to look like a billion!
For instance, in Filene's Basement just the other week, I did my spring shopping by scooping up some Black Label Ralph Lauren for ridiculously low prices:
lambskin leather jeans--from something like $1,500 to $60 (Yes, $60, NOT $600!)
short-sleeved red cashmere sweater--$350 down to $35
silk, Hermes-like blouse--$895 down to $50
suede shirt--$1500 down to $50
In other words, clothes worth about $4,000 for a relatively mere $200. (Goes to show you how much designer clothes are REALLY worth in the first place!)
But what if you absolutely loathe designers? Looking elegant and stylish is maybe a bit more of a challenge but still very, very possible: I always get looks when I wear a simple white shirt, pearls, and very fine quality camel-colored leather pants--all of which cost me less than $100 from Banana Republic (on sale, of course!)
Now on the boob business:
Let's face it, no one is ever ENTIRELY happy with what they've got. It's kind of like the weight issue. Biggies want little ones, flatties want big ones. So there.
I used to fret that being a 32C was disgustingly huge. But then realized that there were A-cup women who wanted to be a C cup. Whatever the case, every one's got advantages and disadvantages. Sure, tastes will change: in the '80s, as booby image points out, large breasts were fashionable while in the '90s, small ones were "It." So take a hint from '80s man, Billy Crystal, "Don't worry, be happy". Or that other 80s song, "You wear it well" (or something like that.)
For instance, if you're an A cup, you can get away without wearing a bra. Something I quite envy!! You can also get away with very slim turtlenecks and heat up the room. And little itty-bitty halters are super sexy, too!
If you're a C and up, you can look sexy with a V-necked top: I like wearing a very low cut top under the jacket of my pantsuits (dressed up with a scarf or multi-strand necklace/choker). Strapless gowns can also be just stunningly gorgeous on C cups and up especially when it's cut just the right way.

>>booby image
I know a an asian gurl who is flatchestes, and plump (round..whatever i a polite term for "fat") AS WELL AS SHORT, and i can honestly say she dresses like everyone else, who is tall, or has boobs, or is skinny, except she always wears a jacket, yet she also does wear tank tops, so i guess it doesnt bother her, and it doesnt get in the way of her confidence, which is ALL YOU NEED! Oh and i TOTALLY agree with the smaller boobs bing more 21st cent. I also think big boobs, are porno-ish, and just is sorta disgusting, smaller boobs look in a way, "cleaner" so yea, o course i am a little on the flat side too.
