WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
I'd dyed my black hair with natural dye powder now it is auburn red , its looks really nice in the sun .
I use natural Henna (plant) Powder it's works with your own highlight and makes a very good conditioner for your hair, it does not strip away your hair colour but instead coat your hair with colour but sadly it fade in 1-2 month time. It prevents split end and gives hair more body.
P.S not recommend for bleach hair , colored hair, blond and grey hair.
I just thought to share this w/ the you guy.

i just have to say is that all asian girls need for their hair is:
a metal round brush, about 2 inches in diametre.
a blow dryer.
short cuts hair wax (at any drug store)
I have trouble with my hair too (i'm asian also)!!
but with the above items, you can create a very basic and natural looking hair do. Just wrap yer hair around brush, blowdry, and hairspray lightly. curl hair underneath--toward yer face or flipped is great too!!!
Make sure you do it in layers (use a clip) do layer by layer, my hair is thick, and i do 3 to 4 layers..also make sure you get a very layered cut too.
it looks great on ALL lengths.
dyeing asian hair~~~~~ NAH!
black looks natural on our complexions, not BLONDE?? OR whatever other colors.
i have dyed my hair before and trust me, i know everyone is different, but really, asians do not look good with blond hair unless your dark asian (like fillipino or whatever else)
even light brown looks crap, I tried it before.
very very black is great, i mean the benefit is great shine.
the hair wax stuff i mentioned, put about a dab on yer hand rub till it's warm, then just lightly run yer fingers thru yer hair and lightly spray with hairspray.
seriously girls this works
and you don't have to pay no $100 to do.
no special gels or that crap.
natural but nice at the ends is great for us. we don't have to look like beyonce knowles or some white person.
black black hair is the right color for our complexion. no lie. give it a try.
blond asians look....fake..insecure..
don't do it, you look like you got crap on yer head. love yer black hair...you just need to know how to work with it!!

I have long black hair, I like it long because i tried short hair but it doesn't look right at all. But it's soo thin! Anyone know any way to make it look thicker?
As for dying hair go ahead, unless you don't end up looking like an idiot!

to the Asian sistas with curly hair - you go!
it took me to the age of 27 to realize that i didn't have mutated asian hair. it's just curly and very dry. i don't blow-dry or straighten my hair anymore (except for special occasions just to be different). i use shampoo and conditioner for dry/processed hair and put about a half teaspoon of Kiehl's Creme Silk Groome in, then layer with Paul Mitchell's styling glaze (apple scent) and let it dry natural for shiny wavy hair.
anyone got a name for a hair stylist who cuts curly asian hair in NYC that doesn't cost 100 bucks??? thanks.
gotta getta go go

Hi I'm half-Korean and half-European and I had really thick, frizzy dark hair that was quite eratic in what it wanted to do. I just recently got it chemically straightened and it's soft and sleek! I'm so happy!

to curious guy:
as an american-born korean, i have to say that the shaved side/spiky top style is really sexy and cute. my sister and asian friends agree----I think that the long styles on popular guy groups of korea in those korean magazines are just weird and freaky

Do girls like guys with long hair or the short spiky style with the shaved sides? I notice fob girls (no offense) like the long style and Amer. born Asians like the short style? this true?

i wish i could do more with my hair; it seems like every asian female has her hair layered and highlighted. mine was like that last year, this year it is long and straight without any dye. however, i'm taking a trip to the salon tomorrow, and guess how i'm doing my hair?? layers and highlights.

I love my blonde hair.
A bit unnatural, but the best haircolor I ever had.
I want to be a blonde forever, never black again.
What do you think?

If you want a good shampoo and conditioner for a great price that anyone can get, go for Pantene Pro-Vs new line of stuff in "Silky and Smooth" its the Green logoed bottles. My hair was really frizzy because I highlight it, but since I've been using the shampoo and conditioner, its been alot better. You can definately tell the diff in a week. Its much shinier and calmer. If youre in need of a little more shine and control, buy a little bottle of "Shine: Anti-Frizz" it works not bad.

I have dark brown hair and have highlights all through it, it's mostly honey color. What shampoos and conditioners would you recommend?

for the girls with curly hair (yes asian girls do come with naturally curly hair, I'm one of them), don't blow dry. If you must, use a difuser, or better yet turn on a fan and stand in front of it.
Apply Paul Mitchell's sculpting lotion (it's a liquid gel) on wet hair GENEROUSLY, make sure each strand is cover with this stuff. Then either air dry or dry with a difuser. Don't touch your hair after that, and don't comb! If your hair is stiff after it's dry you can scrunch it with your hands to loosen them up.
If Paul Mitchell is too pricy for you try L'Oreal The Feel texturizer. It's also not as stiff.

hey .. i'm a jR in high school, and i just happened to pass by this interesting page.. hehe. right at the moment i am deciding on how to do my hair, i'm actually planning to go to a salon today and get it done~ hope it turns out good. when it comes to dying and streaking, which i only do when i get bored with my hair =p i have my friends do it, well the ones that know how~ they got skIlLz! hehe, i give them props. i trust them and that's why i let them touch my hair.. haha.. it's fun when u can just go all krazy with it, but then again.. i don't usually go for that. my hair is almost half my back, it was past that before i trimmed it a good 3 inches, haha.. and i mean it's as straight as it could be. teehee^^ but i would like to get magic straight perm so that it's texture will become nicer~ more silkier and shinier~ hehe, krn magazines describe it like maGiC* and it makes ur hair move like water~ lol.. such great descriptions, but i've seen the results! it's great~!
so for those of u with thick or.. u know scraggly hair.. hehe.. go for it! i just heard of downfalls like.. it not lasting.. and hours in the salon if u have longer hair. if u have a shorter hair style go for it! cuz the money won't be as bad, but newayz.. i would like to do it, but i think imma stick to a simple straight perm that just makes my hair look not so thick =p and i think imma layer it in the front.. i was going for that clean one length look, but it's not me i guess.. haha.. wellZ that was fun blabbin on bouts my hair .. haha.. newhO i'm outs!

Hi All!
I just got my hair highlighted today for the first time in 23 years! Yeah, I've been holding out and I guess maybe it was the weather today. I'm just a little bit nervous about maintenance. Will I have to do weekly hair treatments and/or any other rituals that come w/ the do? If anyone has advice I'd greatly appreciate it. I love the way it looks..just wish I could keep it this way for as along as I can.

The choices were a little bit limited- that is, for me. Why that is is because my hair is undescribable- lyke, NO ONE in this world can do anything with it because it's too wavy and thick! I know alot of other people have thick and wavy hair, but at least they can do something with it! I mean, all i can do with my hair is tie it back in a pony tail!
