Well, I have long and straight black hair. My schoolmates and other people admire my hair, maybe because there aren't a lot of chinese people in Austria :) But, what I can't understand is why my mother always wants me to cut my hair! I had short hair until some years because my mother always cut it. Then I said no, I want long hair but she was always against it.. why do all chinese girls have to have a Bob-head (I don't know how this is called in English..)?! When I look at my cousins who are ~10 years old, they also have the Bob-head I had at their age!
I once tried to dye my hair red with something, that should last some weeks. My hair was as black as it was before..
:( I gave it up because I don't want to lighten up my hair, it wouldn't be black again, am I right?

Why on earth do asians bleach their hair blonde!!!!! It is downright scary and just ain't right! I also hate that anytime i color my hair it has a reddish cast. i try everything such as red out but it doesn't seem to work. I'm not saying that i don't like red tints or colors because i do , but you can only like that color for so long. whatever.

My hair was so shiny when i was little that I couldn't tie my hair back with anything...kinda sucked, but now i love my hair. But then my hair is thin. is there a real good volumizing product i could use?

alrite blond hair and light brown hair is SOOO So SOo out. gosh i can't wait to redye my hair. this time i'm going for dark dark chocolate brown. haha if there is such a color.
I think that that looks the best on asian woman. either that or red. welll this time around, i'll know that dee;p conditioning treatment is a MUst after dying hair.
o one other thing~ i absolutely loOove hair that is com;pletely straight to the ti;p. i love how hair like that doesn't get messy and how it moves like water when you move. haha

at the age of 17, i already have tons and tons of white hair in the inside and on top. what's up with that? i was thinking of bleaching the whole thing so that they won't show up as much when it tie it up. i hate my hair! i wish i could shave it all off and wear wigs all day.... then i could change my hairdo every day.

my dark brown hair has been bleached, dyed, semi-ed and foiled over the years and because it's somewhat coarse (although it's finer towards the front) it tends to handle this kind of treatment ok provided i protect it with an end-sealant. These days I usually only streak certain portions up to blonde and throw a violet/violet-red color enhancing shampoo over the top to help me get a multi-dimensional rich volumized color. if your hair is easily damaged i always recommend seeing your trusted stylist instead of going it alone (i've had some awful hair disasters by ignoring my own advice!) and prevention is better than cure... so remember to treat your hair with protective conditioners and moisturizers especially in the extreme seasons.

I have long dark brown Asian hair and I really love it! It's really pretty. When I do my hair in the morning, it's nice and volumized, but after about an hour, the volume wears off and looks messy throughout the day. Can you help me? Thanks!!

don't dye your waist length hair if it already looks good on you as it is. It will only weaken the hair and force you to cut it off. if that's ok with you, and you feel like experimenting, then go right ahead! (just my experience-and I regretted it)
if your hair is in good shape, and is shiny, I think it's best not to dye over it with other colours. I think shine is the best quality over colour anyday.
