WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
hi-
i'm trying to dye my hair jet black. it's naturally a brownish-black color, but i want to go super black like Lucy Liu so it'll look really shiny. i tried feria and garnier in their darkest shades, but after awhile the color washed out and left my hair a light brown. i think there was too much developer or ammonia in there or something. does anyone know a good dye to use to get my hair black without making it turn brown after a few shampoos? thanks.

why do all japanese people that i see dye their hairs straw-colored and make it all frizzzy>? i think it is kind of wierd how they are trying to be uniqe but in the end, they are all the same becuz they are doing the same thing to their hair. a japanese person with natural black hair is what i call unique. haha

Hi...I have really straight hair too that kind of curls at the end. Sometimes...I put them in small braids when it's wet then brush it out when it's dry. It puts soooo much volume into your hair. Everybody already knows how to do it...but I just want to mention it again because I think it looks soooo good on Asians.

you can make your hair more voluminous looking by not combing/or brushing it until it is dry.

Hey, I don't know if it's just me, but Asian hair is hard to tame.
I have fine, straight shoulder-length hair, and FLAT.
Does anyone know any special tricks they use to volumize their hair...and make it stay that way?
Thanks!

To Another hairlover:
"You go girl! Natural is the way to go. I also have "virgin hair" that has been untouched by chemicals and I love it."
It's great to come across someone else with the same taste in hair.
To me, long black and natural, virgin hair is not only beautiful to look at, it also represents consistency and self-assuredness, a steadfastness in the face of all the changing fashions. Whereas many new popular hairstyles might be seen as ugly in a couple of years, the classic hairstyle that you have will always be loved by at least a considerable number of people.
"I love having natural, shiny, healthy hair running down my back."
How long is your hair? What do you like about having long hair? I take it you like wearing it down. Doesn't it feel heavy on your back and shoulders?
"You go girl!"
Just so you know, I'm a guy. Hope that little revelation didn't freak you out :)
