WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
Beachgerl and Curious 1,
Yeah the last girl looks pretty... skanky :)) I think it's because her skin is sun-damaged. Anyway I think most Asian girls could look good with blonde hair IF they maintained it at just the right colour, wore the right makeup and the right clothes, and carried themselves in a certain way. But most people probably couldn't be bothered, especially with having to re-bleach the roots periodically, put up with chronically dry hair, and people accusing you of trying to be white. And blonde hair with ordinary, casual clothes is likely to look a bit crap.
I dyed my hair dark red last year and it was fun, but then it faded and looked like nothing special (lacklustre orangey- brown), and i don't want to color it again because i miss that healthy, natural feel.
I think it would be fun to get a radical wig for special occasions :)
As for the AM hair thing, I think guys in general don't have as much imagination when it comes to hair and clothes, and as the male ego is such a fragile thing they're reluctant to do anything risky. (Some of my dad's ties are pretty "risky", though :P)

As for assuming AM that don't dye their hair blonde, that's not true just 'cause they're in conservative fields. I've seen Asian guys who dyed their hair blonde and they tend to be involved in school (HS or college), music (bands), skateboarding, clubbing or anything that's more radical. I never see any blond AM in their regular and conservative duds working in conservative fields. That's why AW can get away with blonde hair regardless what field they're in. Maybe hair coloring's viewed as "girl thing" except for gays. I could be wrong here.
As for others, you're entitled to your opinions. Anyway, y'all have a nice day!

That last girl on the site is definitely not a good looking blonde. Sure the other ones might look good blonde, but if I didn't know that they were asian, I would really have thought they were white. I think one girl even has blue contacts in, and they all have pale skin.
they're trying to look white

Beachgerl...
I checked out the site you mentioned as well and the girls on there do look ok with the blond hair, EXCEPT the last girl! What was she thinking?? She looks like that old shriveled white woman that was in the movie "There's Something About Mary". I think her friends should have told her how awful that looks. But I do think the others look pretty good, especially Clarissa (who looks half black, actually) and Tila. Bravo to them!! I am curious though, why don't AM seem to dye their hair blond? Do you think that it's b/c perhaps they see it more as "selling out" and trying to look white? I just have noticed that AM seem to have more of a "conservative" view on that topic from what I've come across. Any thoughts??

I am sorry beach girl... I don't think they look good as blonds. They should go strawberry.

For HELP,
Try Biolage hydrating shampoo and Biolage conditioning balm. Works great for dry and damaged hair. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and see a big difference. My hair is alot more shiny and soft. It has been dry for 3 years and i couldn't do anything to fix it until Biolage. I'm really glad i found it, i hope you try it too. Let us know if it works.

I'd like to give you a link of the rare Asians who DO look good as blondes, check them out at
http://www.beachgerl.com/asianblonds.html
But like so many people in here who said that not ALL Asians can pull off blonde look. Only a few can. But being blonde is not the only choice out there, you can be black, brown, red, purple, blue and all other colors in rainbow. Natural or dyed. Have fun with whatever you choose or leave the way it is.
I chose being blonde because I can pull it off and my hair's not frizzy, fried or like a rough hatch of staw 'cause I always condition it. Then again, my hair is not like everyone's else's hair, some can take it while others can't. So if you don't want to risk dry, frizzy or fried hair, don't bleach your hair out at all if your hair texture cannot take it. Use highlights instead. I know many people whose hair is very bad. It's normal to have damaged hair but it's easily styled to make it shiny, bouncy and thick with good products.
