Hi,
I'm Jamaican/Chinese/Irish/Indian and my hair is naturally Black. I now relax my so it's more managable but now it's a nuissance! I've heard of a relaxing that's called Japanese Straitening. Is it better or worse than regular relaxers!?

My mother has straight hair and my dad has curly hair. My hair appears straight but all my stylist say that my hair is actually "wavy undercover". I think that is the reason why my hair is so puffy and thick. I have tried to tame for the longest time. I have tried conditioners but they dont do anything but give it shine. I have tried Black hair products but they make my hair oily. I have tried a little mix of lotion and it works for a little bit and gets oily later in the day. Is there a product you can recommend me to use to straight or "un-puff" my hair more?btw...asian hair is the most beauitful hair in the planet...we are truely blessed...most...

My hair and I fight all the time. It usually wins. It is very high maintenance and I wish there was an easy solution.

I have a roundish face. My hair is angled and layered (the layers aren't that visable!) The angles start right below my chin, and the length of my hair ends a little below my shoulders. 1) Should I grow out my hair so it's longer? I want to get more visable layers! 2) Should I highlight my hair? I'm thinking of a dark brownish color...nothing too extreme! 3) Is the hair style that I have not good for my face shape? HELP! Any other suggestions?

wavy gurl,

see my post about care for curly hair. It's a few pages back but will give you all the info you need.

If you can't find it then email me at snoopyparsons@yahoo.com. I'm just too lazy to retype all that if I don't have to.

I'm looking for a hair stylist who REALLY knows how to cut and color Asian hair...Why is it harder to cut straight hair??? Hiding my gray has become an issue also since I have pitch black hair. I can't get used to the idea of being a "blonde" Asian....
